The role

Reporting to the Finance Manager in our Paris office, the Financial and Regulatory accountant will be a technical accounting expert for the group and play a key role in the preparation of the group’s regulatory financial reporting and French financial statements.

This position can be remote or hybrid based on the candidate's location. We welcome candidates from anywhere in France.

What excites you 

  • Regulatory financial reporting for licensed entities, ensuring reporting is compliant with rules prescribed by the FCA, ACPR, and US state authorities.
    • France: COREP, RUBA and OSCAMPS
    • UK: FSA056
    • USA: NMLS
  • Preparing French statutory financial statements in accordance with the PCEC.
  • Preparation of entries to convert IFRS to FR GAAP.
  • Providing support during the Company's external audits and interacting with auditors.
  • Maintain and strengthen internal controls over regulatory and French statutory reporting.
  • Research and resolve accounting issues including evaluation and implementation of new pronouncements to ensure reporting compliance.
  • Working with financial controllers to ensure accuracy and completeness of accounting for regulatory reporting.
  • Delivering process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of our accounting, regulatory reporting, and overall control environment.

What excites us  

  • Experience in a similar position or prior audit experience in a Big 4 firm.
  • You are a financial accountant, with demonstrable knowledge of regulatory reporting, French GAAP (PCG and PCEC), and IFRS standards.
  • Ability to work in an international environment in both French and English.
  • A self-starter who can work independently to identify and resolve accounting issues.
  • You have proven skills in analyzing processes with the delivery of process simplification and improvement through automation/ system development.
  • In addition to your technical expertise, you are an excellent communicator, able to explain complex concepts to non-experts. You are collaborative in your approach.
  • You have integrity and an analytical approach.
  • Experience in fintech/ payments.
  • Knowledge of regulatory reporting requirements for payment service providers.

Salary range: €50,400- €75,600

Base salary ranges are based on role, job level, location, and market data. Please note that whilst we strive to offer competitive compensation, our approach is to pay between the minimum and the mid-point of the pay range until performance can be assessed in the role. Offers will take into account level of experience, interview assessment, budgets and parity between you and fellow employees at GoCardless doing similar work.
