The role

• Manage both the IT Engineering and IT Services teams. Provide leadership, motivation and guidance for the IT teams professional development
• Supplier management. Work with suppliers to ensure the best value on hardware, services and SaaS provided 
• Define IT strategy ensuring IT services align with business objectives. This includes taking a leading role in how we deploy AI to support the business
• Manage the IT Service Desk ensuring tickets from employees are resolved in a timely manner
• Manage GoCardless office networks, ensuring they meet performance, resilience and security standards.
• Manage GoCardless IT endpoints throughout their lifecycle
• Own IT projects being run within the team  
• Work with peers across the business to identify and mitigate risks

• Experience leading technical teams, with a focus on Mac OS, security, and automation.
• Strong knowledge of Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence), Gsuite, and Slack.
• Excellent people management skills — motivating, coaching, and developing junior staff.
• Demonstrated ability to work in fast-paced, growth environments with distributed teams.
• Passion for innovation, automation, and supporting the business through technology.

Base salary range: 

€56,000 - €84,000

Base salary ranges are based on role, job level, location, and market data.  Please note that whilst we strive to offer competitive compensation, our approach is to pay between the minimum and the mid-point of the pay range until performance can be assessed in role. Offers will take into account level of experience, interview assessment, budgets and parity between you and fellow employees at GoCardless doing similar work.
