IT Security Analyst

About the Position

The Golden State Warriors are looking for an IT Security Analyst to plan and implement security measures to protect our computer systems, networks and data. In this role, you will be expected to stay up-to-date on the latest intelligence, including hackers’ methodologies, in order to anticipate security breaches and prevent data loss and service interruptions by researching new technologies that will effectively protect a network. This role reports to the IT Security Manager.

This is a full-time position based onsite in San Francisco, CA.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install security measures and operate software to protect system infrastructure, including firewalls and endpoint policies
  • Monitor security systems and networks (alerts, logs, and events) for incidents and respond, escalate, resolve, and perform root-cause analysis per standard operating procedures
  • Collaborate with the IT Operations team to identify, evaluate and implement technical security controls to continuously improve the organization’s security posture and ensure compliance with organizational security policies and practices
  • Manage company-wide information security education and awareness training program coordinating with People Operations to provide content as well as monitor and report on the effectiveness of the program
  • Maintain vulnerability management performing regular vulnerability scans on networks, systems, and applications and coordinating with other IT teams to track and remediate
  • Coordinate with external vendors to plan and execute penetration testing, ensuring alignment with security objectives
  • Review and analyze testing results, and assist in tracking remediation of identified vulnerabilities and potential opportunities for improvement
  • Assist in routine security audits and assessments for internal audits as well as managing security assessments of third-party vendors
  • Maintain information security documentation— assist in the developing and updating security policies, procedures, and protocols
  • Stay up-to-date on the latest cybersecurity threats, vulnerabilities, and attack vectors along with security trends and standards reporting finding and recommending appropriate safeguards
  • Provide support on game day and/or event day setup, as needed
  • Other duties as assigned

Required Experience & Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in technology related field or equivalent work experience
  • 1-3 years of IT Security experience, preferably in a retail and/or entertainment environment
  • Security+, SSCP certifications preferred
  • Experience with PCI compliance and requirements helpful
  • Experience with endpoint protection, email security gateways, SIEM, and encryption
  • Experience with network security technologies such as firewalls, VPN, and IDS/IPS— including setup, tuning and management of next gen firewalls and associated rules/policies
  • Basic knowledge of incident response— identification, containment, eradication, and recovery
  • Foundational knowledge of vulnerability management— scan, identify, prioritize, and remediate security vulnerabilities across systems and applications
  • Experience with patch management with the ability to deploy patches in a timely manner and minimizing business impact
  • Experience with cloud technologies (Google Cloud, Azure, AWS, etc.) and cloud security
  • Experience with computer network penetration testing and techniques
  • Scripting, programming, and automation skills helpful (Python, Powershell, Java, etc.)
  • Independent; capable of managing conflicting priorities and escalating when appropriate
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, customer service and resolution skills; strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Solid organizational, project management, interpersonal, time management skills

Time Commitment

  • Ability to work evenings, weekends, holidays and extended hours as needed

Compensation

  • $98,000 - 104,000 + Bonus
