Receptionist

About the Position

Golden State is looking for an organized and detail oriented individual with outstanding administrative and interpersonal skills to join our Workplace Experience team. In this role, you will serve as the gatekeeper and ambassador in providing the first impression and initial contact for our organization. You will be responsible for answering all incoming calls for the office and directing them to the appropriate person and/or department. This position reports to the Specialist, Workplace Experience.

This is a full-time position based onsite in San Francisco, CA.

Key Responsibilities

  • Greet and respond to guests, vendors and team members in a courteous and professional manner
  • Partner with Security and People Operations to control access to building
  • Handle and maintain all incoming and outgoing mail, break room and office inventory and complete daily walkthroughs of the facility
  • Assist Workplace Experience Coordinators with preparing meeting and event spaces (i.e., unlock and secure doors, setup and breakdown tables/chairs/AV, request custodial services before after event, post event notes, etc.); prepare hospitality dish and glassware and operate dishwasher as needed
  • Assist to maintain cleanliness of office areas and break rooms, including layout and  setup/breakdown
  • Demonstrate a high degree of integrity in handling confidential and sensitive issues
  • Provide administrative support as needed
  • Other duties as assigned

Required Experience & Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
  • 1-2 years in a professional office environment
  • Outstanding professionalism; ability to maintain confidentiality and maturity even in high pressure situations
  • Ability to work independently and accept direction on assigned tasks/projects in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to communicate with employees at all levels within the organization
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office  Suite

Time Commitment

  • Ability to work evenings for office events, as needed

Compensation

  • $21.00 - 22.00 per hour + Bonus
