About the Role:

The Safety team is a cross-functional group that builds products to help fleets prevent accidents, improve unsafe driving habits, exonerate drivers, and reduce insurance costs through a combination of AI-enabled hardware, robust software tools, and automated coaching. We’re seeking a Staff Product Designer to collaborate with our cross-functional technology and operations team. You’ll identify and understand customer problems and translate them into innovative and impactful solutions across our ecosystem of products and apps. You will drive design and create innovative safety experiences  for both our long-haul trucking and local commercial clients and integrate into our existing suite of fleet management features.

Staff Designers sit at the pinnacle of the individual contributor path, tasked with working on the most intractable design problems. You will establish a high bar for quality and execution through effective design thinking, process, craft, and mentorship. You will establish, evolve, and evangelize the next generation of our design system across multiple product surfaces. And finally, you will partner with and mentor designers to elevate the output of the overall team.

What You’ll Do:

  • Shape strategy and direction for the highest priority product investments
  • Connect-the-dots across disparate product areas to uncover patterns and opportunities
  • Think in terms of broad platform and systems strategy rather than siloed features
  • Establish a high bar for design quality across the company that aligns with our brand
  • Understand customer and business problems through research and data
  • Own design problems end to end, from initial concept through execution and beyond
  • Build alignment and articulate vision through strong storytelling and presentations skills
  • Become a key thought partner to your counterparts in product, engineering, and ops
  • Partner with engineering to develop and deploy a componentized design system
  • Mentor other designers and contribute to the overall design culture of the company

What We’re Looking For:

  • 8+ years of experience in User Experience, Interaction and Interface design
  • Experience leading complex web and mobile projects with a cross-functional team
  • Ability to generate detailed design concepts, documentation, and prototypes
  • A design portfolio that showcases proficient design skills, product thinking, and problem-solving
  • Experience working with or creating design systems and frameworks
  • Demonstrate excellent written, verbal, and visual communication skills
  • Ability to be comfortable with and navigate an industry undergoing disruption
  • Unbounded curiosity and sense of adventure

OMB Control Number 1250-0005
Expires 04/30/2026

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
