Sports Marketing & Licensing Specialist

ABOUT GOODR

We create and sell active eyewear for anyone. No Slip. No Bounce. All Polarized. All Fun. Interested in joining our team? Keep reading.

OUR VALUES: We have two core values: Fun & Authenticity.

  • FUN = Being sh*tty isn’t fun. Agreed? Taking pride in your work, finding joy in being GREAT, and celebrating wins… and losses. Now, that’s fun!
  • AUTHENTICITY = Focusing on being authentic over being liked. (Next-level guru stuff. Count it.)

Fun Fact: We do not allow email to be sent internally. Carrier pigeons only. JK, we use Slack.

AUTONOMY: We practice autonomy, empowerment, and accountability so that every team member can be in control of their own life.

  • HYBRID WORKING: Most roles are only required to be in the Inglewood office every Tuesday and Thursday with the occasional third day thrown in.
  • PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT: We have an all-company learning program so that we’re constantly leveling up our skills.

SUSTAINABILITY: We think Earth’s pretty rad. That’s why we take action wherever possible to limit our impact on the planet.

  • 1% FOR THE PLANET MEMBER: 1% of goodr’s annual sales go directly to environmental organizations.
  • CARBON NEUTRAL: In 2019, goodr became a 100% carbon neutral company.

Fun Fact: goodr celebrates every Earth Day by releasing limited-edition sunglasses with frames made from 100% recycled materials—and the packaging is 100% sustainable, too!

ABOUT THE ROLE

As our Sports Marketing & Licensing Specialist, you’ll be the wizard behind the curtain making sure our sports sponsorships and licensing deals don’t implode. One day you’re wrangling pro teams and leagues, the next you’re chasing approvals, timelines, and budgets. You’ll help turn wild partnership ideas into actual campaigns that launch (on time!), while keeping everything legal, organized, and awesome. Basically, if you love sports just as much as you love logos, this is your sweet spot. Join our team to become a partnership hero who keeps the chaos fun and the licenses legit.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Act as a central support for all things related to licensing, sports marketing and partnership planning, assisting with projects across these specific work streams
  • Coordinate the execution of licensing and marketing support between sponsorships and partner marketing programs by managing processes, timelines, creative assets, and campaign launch tasks
  • Lead licensing and IP management from strategic prospecting and vision setting through applications with finance/legal, including deal memos, negotiations, SKUs, timelines, and partnership terms
  • Drive cross-functional execution by coordinating partner kickoffs, approvals, creative development, sampling, packaging, production, and marketing strategies
  • Work with external partners (e.g. professional teams, leagues, creators) to create and execute co-branded launch campaigns
  • Oversee launch and promotion across sales channels, fan shops, and influencer partnerships while managing budgets, deliverables, royalties, inventory, and future licensing opportunities
  • Support management of "selling-in" to licensing partner retail channels by managing introductions to partner sales leads and working with the internal sales team to fulfill orders
  • Own the planning of any on-site event support activations, including logistics from coordinating inventory and shipping, to overseeing vendor relationships, and on-site setup
  • Support various Fan Shop campaigns (i.e. Collegiate & NIL), including coordination of school permissions and assisting with reporting cadence (e.g., monthly/quarterly royalties, deliverables).
  • Participate in team meetings, brainstorms, and project planning sessions
  • No direct reports – you get to lead the charge, without managing your fellow flamingos
  • This role is in the Sports Marketing & Partnerships Team and will report directly to the Director of Sports Marketing & Partnerships
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

Race & Ethnicity Definitions

If you believe you belong to any of the categories of protected veterans listed below, please indicate by making the appropriate selection. As a government contractor subject to the Vietnam Era Veterans Readjustment Assistance Act (VEVRAA), we request this information in order to measure the effectiveness of the outreach and positive recruitment efforts we undertake pursuant to VEVRAA. Classification of protected categories is as follows:

A "disabled veteran" is one of the following: a veteran of the U.S. military, ground, naval or air service who is entitled to compensation (or who but for the receipt of military retired pay would be entitled to compensation) under laws administered by the Secretary of Veterans Affairs; or a person who was discharged or released from active duty because of a service-connected disability.

Voluntary Self-Identification of Disability

Form CC-305
OMB Control Number 1250-0005
Expires 04/30/2026

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.

  • Alcohol or other substance use disorder (not currently using drugs illegally)
