About the job
Goods & Services is looking for a Senior Project Manager who: is responsible for leading the full implementation of SAP within the Finance Department. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working in agile environments, coordinating with scrum teams, and ensuring smooth project execution. This role requires strong problem-solving skills, the ability to ask the right questions and gain access to critical information, and a hands-on approach to providing technical support. We are looking for someone confident and communicative—not afraid to step in, take ownership, and drive results.
Core Function:
- Coordinate and oversee the SAP–Snowflake integration process.
- Collaborate closely with multicultural teams to ensure alignment
- Manage and track progress across multiple concurrent projects, including five key initiatives.
- Provide on-site support as needed, with occasional travel to Mexico City.
What you’ll do:
- Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of Finance projects in partnership with our parent company in Mexico City.
- Serve as the primary liaison between internal stakeholders, and external vendors.
- Develop and manage detailed project plans, timelines, budgets, and resource allocations.
- Facilitate cross-functional collaboration across Finance, IT, and other departments.
- Ensure project milestones and deliverables are met on time and within scope.
- Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies.
- Provide regular status updates to executive leadership and key stakeholders.
- Coordinate training and change management initiatives for end users.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, regulatory requirements, and best practices.
- Communicate effectively in both English and Spanish with global teams and stakeholders.
- Responsible for the implementation and maintenance of SAP solutions in coordination with other organizational systems.
- Lead technical research, development, and project management for new application introductions, focusing on process improvement and long-term objectives.
- Serve as the primary liaison with client’s SAP Mexico team, communicating needs, assessing global decision impacts, and ensuring work quality meets standards.
- Oversee the development, configuration, and integration of SAP FICO and other modules with legacy systems, coordinating comprehensive testing with IT and business users.
- Drive and deliver conceptual and detailed solutions for enhancement requests and projects, collaborating with leadership to improve efficiency, manage risks, and ensure timely completion.
- Coordinate and execute SAP and other Finance IT projects (e.g., Snowflake, Tableau), managing SAP change processes for enhancements and defects across all modules.
What you’ll need:
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, Accounting, or related field.
- Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English (both conversational and business communication)
- 2+ years of SAP FICO & ABAP (Advanced Business Application Programming) experience.
- Experience with SAP integration.
- Experience capturing and documenting business processes and preparing functional specifications, especially in a distributed subsidiary and Parent Company context.
- 5+ years of Project Management experience (Scrum/Rally and Agile experience and certification valued)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a self-starter approach to communication and coordination.
- Problem-solving capabilities and strong analytical skills.
- Adaptability and flexibility in a changing environment.
- Comfortable working in a dynamic, high-volume, fast-paced environment.
- Ability to understand and ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and laws governing the industry/business and products.
- Strong collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-company teams.
- Project management skills with the ability to track and manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
- Willingness to learn new Finance applications and software.
- Flexibility and willingness to travel occasionally to Mexico City.
