The Assistant Controller will be detailed orient, with strong analytical and technical accounting skills, leading a 5-day month-end close cycle. They will drive automation into the accounting function to scale with our growing business. Reporting to the VP Controller, this position is responsible for ensuring the integrity of accounting operations by reviewing all balance sheet reconciliations, perform monthly analysis on expense and revenue trends and provide process recommendations that drive efficiency and accuracy in the accounting operation. The successful candidate has senior-level revenue experience, with experience building efficient revenue processes. Someone who can be a strong mentor and coach to the team but enjoys rolling up their sleeves. With your prior experience working in high‐growth environments and scaling accounting workflows, you will take the lead helping to build and shape the accounting team and processes for future growth.  

Role & Responsibilities   

  • Lead the monthly accounting close process, resulting in a 5-day month end close. 
  • Scale revenue processes that drive efficiency in the order to cash cycle.   
  • Train, and mentor SaaS software focused accounting team and oversee their growth and development. 
  • Provide technical guidance on transactions and business activities including revenue recognition (ASC606) and lead the implementation of new accounting standards.  
  • Support FP&A in providing monthly statements and ad‐hoc reports as needed. 
  • Ad hoc tasks as requested.   
  • Other duties as assigned. 

Minimum Qualifications  

  • CPA and/or public accounting   
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance   
  • 5+ years of progressive accounting experience managing a team, preferably in a high-growth SaaS software environment   
  • Technical knowledge of US GAAP   
  • Strong ERP systems experience and process mindset with building scale and speed (NetSuite is a huge plus)   
  • Experience working in Private Equity owned enterprises preferred but not required   
  • Strong communication skills and ability to build relationships in a remote team environment   
  • Exceptional attention to detail   
  • Strong analytical, problem‐solving and organization skills   
  • Flexibility and resourcefulness to succeed in a fast‐growing environment   
  • Propensity to automate processes for efficiency and data integrity   
  • Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite, including strong excel skills over large amounts of data (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables and Charts)

  • $120,000 - $130,00 annual base + 10% annual bonus
