The VP of Business Operations will be responsible for defining and executing the systems strategy across the company, with a particular focus on Revenue Operations and Analytical insights. This role requires a deep understanding of technical systems, data architecture, process automation, and analytics to support the company’s growth and scalability. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in technical operations and a proven track record of implementing complex systems that drive operational efficiency, revenue growth, and data-driven decision-making.  

Duties and Responsibilities:

Systems Strategy and Architecture: 

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive systems strategy that supports the company’s growth objectives and drives operational efficiency 
  • Oversee the selection, integration, and optimization of enterprise systems, including CRM, BI, ERP, PSA, and other operational tool 
  • Ensure that all systems and processes are scalable, secure, and aligned with the company’s long-term goals 
  • Lead efforts to modernize and automate key business processes through advanced technology solutions 

Technical Leadership in Revenue Operations (RevOps): 

  • Own the technical architecture of the RevOps function, ensuring seamless integration across sales, marketing, professional services, customer support, and customer success 
  • Implement data-driven strategies to enhance the lead-to-revenue lifecycle, utilizing automation, advanced analytics, and AI where appropriate 
  • Design and optimize systems that provide real-time visibility into key revenue metrics and performance indicators  
  • Collaborate with the IT and Engineering teams to ensure system reliability and data integrity 

Business Operations and Process Optimization: 

  • Lead the technical implementation of business process improvements across the organization, focusing on efficiency and scalability 
  • Drive the adoption or deprecation of technologies and tools to further streamline process flows and reduce manual effort 
  • Manage the integration of new business units or product lines into existing systems and processes 

Analytics and Data-Driven Decision Making: 

  • Develop and implement an analytics strategy that drives actionable insights across all business operations 
  • Optimize and oversee a robust analytics infrastructure, ensuring data accuracy, accessibility, and scalability 
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to surface and socialize key learnings from the data models, create dashboards, and predictive analyses that support key business decisions 
  • Utilize data analytics to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for  
  • improvement both in GTM approach and internal operations 
  • Lead initiatives to enhance data literacy across the organization, empowering teams to make data-driven decisions 

Cross-Functional Systems Collaboration: 

  • Partner with Product, Engineering, IT, and Finance teams to align system strategies with broader company objectives 
  • Lead cross-functional initiatives to streamline operations and improve system interoperability 

Team Leadership and Technical Development: 

  • Lead and develop a team of systems, operations, and analytics professionals, providing mentorship and technical guidance 
  • Develop a talent strategy focused on building technical expertise within the business operations function 
  • Foster a culture of innovation, curiosity, technical excellence, and continuous improvement within the team 

Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or a related field; MBA or advanced technical degree preferred 
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in business operations, technical operations, systems strategy, or analytics, with a strong track record in a high-growth technology environment 
  • Proven experience in designing and implementing complex systems and analytics frameworks in a SaaS or software company, preferably within the GovTech industry 
  • Deep understanding of technical architecture, data systems, analytics platforms, and automation tools 
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to design and implement data-driven solutions 
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to translate technical and analytical concepts for non-technical stakeholders 
  • Experience with enterprise systems (e.g., CRM, ERP, BI) and cloud-based platforms  
  • that support business growth 
  • A strategic thinker with a hands-on approach and the ability to manage both system strategy and day-to-day technical operations 

Compensation & Benefits  

  • $185,000 annual base + bonus (Depending on experience)

The pay range above represents the anticipated low and high end of the pay range for this position and may change in the future. Actual pay may vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors, including but not limited to work experience and performance.
