Job Summary  

This role is focused on delivering technical support to CEM service providers. The CEM produce a range of high-performance computer system for Graphcore. The primary job function centres around support for delivering the high-quality manufacturing test solutions that our advanced technology products required to the CEM.  The role requires close interaction with the Production Test and Diagnosis design team and other parts of Graphcore Manufacturing Operations department to deliver and maintain test solutions that assure the quality of the hardware in the system.  

 

The Team 

The Product Test and Diagnosis team’s role is to detect and manage hardware defects that arise from the manufacture and use of our products. This covers chips, boards and finished systems and takes place both in the manufacturing sites and in the field.  

 

Responsibilities and Duties 

 

  • Contribute to the definition of manufacturing test solutions. 
  • Deployment and integration of Special To Type ATE platforms on CEM sites. 
  • Ensure correct deployment, configuration and release control of HPM and server blade functional test packages at CM sites. 
  • Verify test station readiness (fixtures, load boards, firmware, limits, golden units) and drive issue resolution with System Test and CM engineering. 
  • Deployment and coordination of Hardware System Test acceptance at CEM sites. 
  • CEM support for Graphcore Hardware System Test process issues. 
  • Drive hardware system test station setup, hardware configuration and ongoing maintenance through NPI to Mass Production 
  • Conduct and execute Design of Experiments (DOE) to troubleshoot and resolve production issues. 
  • Continuous improvement of yield performance and production line efficiency. 
  • Work with internal team and CEM team to deploy and implement hardware test solutions. 

 

Candidate Profile  
 

Essential: 

 

  • Experience in manufacturing test of advanced HPM and server systems. 
  • Thorough understanding of the fundamentals of electronics. 
  • Thorough understanding of blade/rack level manufacturing processes and failure mechanisms. 
  • Experience using the Linux command line. 
  • Experience in the local and remote use of test instruments (Oscilloscopes, DMM's, Clock generators, SMU's, PSU's, etc.) 
  • Ability to solve problems in fast-paced and complex environment.  
  • Basic data analysis skills. 
  • Good communication and presentation skills. 

 

Desirable 

 

  • Knowledge of high-speed interconnects(PCIe Gen5/6, Ethernet), DC-SCM and IPMI. 
  • Experience of server/Datacentre level functional test. 
  • Experience of working with manufacturing test programs at platform level. 
  • Experience of general-purpose programming language (C, Python, Java, etc.). 
  • Experience of Statistical Process Control and associated tools (run charts, control charts, etc.) 
  • Experience with Git revision control
