About the Position
Groome Industrial Service Group is seeking a Mechanic position requires a willingness to learn and perform a variety of trades and specialty skills in the hangar door sector. These will include, but not be limited to:
- Perform routine preventative maintenance on mobile equipment, including oil changes, fluid checks, and general inspections.
- Diagnose and repair minor mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues on trucks, forklifts, and heavy machinery.
- Keeps Operations Supervisor informed on the condition of the equipment.
- Conduct safety checks and inspections to ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Keeps records on the preventative maintenance and repairs performed on equipment.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and parts usage.
- Assist with managing inventory and ordering parts needed for repairs.
- Collaborate with team members to coordinate repairs and minimize equipment downtime.
- Ensure all work complies with safety protocols and environmental regulations.
- Perform annual DOT inspections
