About the Role:
At Grow Therapy, we are expanding our engineering team rapidly and are looking for a visionary VP of Engineering to lead and manage our growing team of 100+ engineers. You’ll help shape the future of mental health care by overseeing the development of our therapist platform and client search experience. This role is critical in driving our technical strategy, scaling our infrastructure, and cultivating an outstanding engineering culture.

What You’ll Do:

  • Lead a growing engineering team to deliver exceptional experiences for both providers and clients, ensuring a high level of performance, reliability, and scalability.
  • Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of all technical projects, ensuring speed and quality while scaling our infrastructure to support rapid growth.
  • Develop and refine processes that enable cross-functional collaboration and alignment across product, design, and operations teams.
  • Mentor and coach engineers, fostering professional growth and career development through goal setting, performance reviews, and career pathing.
  • Hire, grow, and retain a talented, diverse, and inclusive engineering team, with a focus on continuous improvement and team satisfaction.
  • Foster a supportive and positive team culture that thrives in a hybrid work environment (remote and in-person).
  • Work closely with the Co-Founder/CTO on strategic business planning, aligning the engineering vision with the overall product and business strategy, and translating this into actionable projects and initiatives.

Who You Are:

  • Seasoned Leader: You bring 15+ years of engineering experience, with at least 8+ years of experience managing teams, and 4+ years managing engineering managers and Directors of Engineering.
  • Entrepreneurial Spirit: You’ve worked in startups or side projects, building products from the ground up, and thrive in dynamic, high-growth environments.
  • Mentor: You’ve formally mentored engineers, fostering best practices and helping develop strong engineering talent.
  • Product Thinker: You have a user-centric approach to product development and are passionate about collaborating on product and design decisions.
  • Team Player: You thrive on collaboration, team wins, and are seen as a trusted partner and motivator within the team.
  • Adaptable: You’re experienced in fast-paced environments, understanding that tools and approaches vary as the company evolves.
  • Highly Motivated: You take ownership of your work, always aiming to make a meaningful impact.

Qualifications:

  • 15+ years of experience in software engineering, including significant experience scaling engineering teams in high-growth environments.
  • Strong technical background in software architecture, cloud infrastructure, and building scalable platforms.
  • Proven experience leading cross-functional teams and collaborating with product, design, and business leaders.
  • Excellent communication skills with a strong ability to align technical initiatives with business goals.

The salary range for this role is $300,000-450,000.
