About the role

We're seeking a driven Retention and Lifecycle Manager to join our Marketing team and help drive growth across nütrops and our emerging brands portfolio. In this role, you'll be the key stakeholder responsible for improving retention channel performance across email and SMS for our emerging brands, while strategizing and implementing new ESP instances as we scale. You'll craft engaging customer journeys to reduce churn, optimize retention channels, and help bring strategies that increase repeat rate to life. This role reports to the Director of Lifecycle & Retention.

This role is part of our remote HQ! We have a fully remote, high-trust work environment - and also come together on a quarterly basis for amazing off-sites where we can connect IRL.

In this role, you will:

  • Create and manage email/SMS campaign calendars across nütrops and emerging brands, developing segmentation and A/B testing strategies while collaborating with designers on campaign briefs
  • Oversee end-to-end campaign execution, reviewing creatives and ensuring all communications are polished, on-brand, and leverage performance insights
  • Develop personalized customer journeys across retention channels to increase new customer conversion, reduce churn, and improve repeat rates
  • Partner with growth and CRO teams to optimize the customer conversion funnel and build strategies that leverage successful acquisition tactics
  • Analyze channel performance weekly, collaborate with analytics team on reporting structures, and implement optimizations based on data insights
  • Monitor email deliverability, ensure compliance with regulations, and continuously streamline processes for maximum efficiency
  • Stay current on industry trends and test new retention opportunities to maintain competitive advantage

We're looking for someone who:

  • 3+ years of experience with email and SMS retention marketing for DTC or subscription brands.
  • Experience with managing automation and campaign programs in Klaviyo and PostScript or similar ESP/SMS platform.
  • Expertise in mapping out customer journeys and creating an orchestrated and personalized experience across email, SMS, and additional retention channels.
  • Proven track record of building strategic email and SMS campaign calendars that boost conversion rates and reduce churn. Bonus points if you’ve done this across multiple brands.
  • Experienced in running A/B tests and turning results into actionable strategies.
  • Hands-on experience reporting on KPIs related to retention channels and using those insights to drive improvements.
  • Knowledge of email deliverability best practices
  • Familiar with CAN-SPAM, TCPA, and keeping things compliant
  • Experience with Direct Mail (PostPilot, Poplar, or similar).
