Position: Logistics Specialist - RDC
Location: Nashville, In office
Reports to: Manager, Logistics Service Team
Overview:
The Logistics Specialist - RDC will play a key role in ensuring the efficient operation of our Regional Distribution Center by overseeing inventory accuracy, coordinating inbound and outbound shipments, and maintaining optimal performance of the Warehouse Management System. This role is vital for maintaining service levels, reducing costs, and supporting our growing logistics network.
Responsibilities
- Monitor daily RDC operations to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment.
- Manage and maintain WMS transactions including receiving, picking, shipping, and inventory adjustments.
- Analyze WMS data to identify trends, discrepancies, or process improvement opportunities.
- Assist in planning and coordinating inbound and outbound logistics activities.
- Collaborate with transportation teams, warehouse staff, and other departments to resolve operational issues promptly.
- Conduct cycle counts and physical inventories to maintain inventory accuracy.
- Generate and review reports on warehouse productivity, inventory levels, and system performance.
- Support the implementation of new processes or system enhancements within the RDC and WMS.
- Maintain compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
- Participate in training and cross-functional projects as needed.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Supply Chain, or a related field preferred.
- 3-5 years of experience in warehouse operations, logistics, or WMS administration.
- Strong knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems (e.g., SAP, etc.).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office applications.
- Strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Key Competencies
- Experience working with WMS and Inventory audits.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
