Integration Lead

Harbor is seeking an Integration Lead to join our growing Integrations + Risk team. The Integration Lead ensures successful outcomes through their leadership of each phase of a project.  They will be responsible for developing an integration strategy, deploying plans, conducting team meetings, tracking progress, reporting results, and documenting lessons learned from each integration.  Prioritization, problem solving and early risk mitigation are essential in this role.  This position may be remote or hybrid and can be worked from the US or Canada.


Job Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Partner with Chief Integration Officer and Deal Team to define integration strategy including setting goals, scope, timeline and budget in a way that aligns with business objectives and vision of each merger. 
  • Help stand up and manage the integration governance model, including project steering committees, stakeholder updates, risk logs, and issue escalation. 
  • Identify key stakeholders, risks and dependencies involved in each integration project. 
  • Foster collaboration, trust and engagement among project stakeholders in order to align on the most critical tasks. 
  • Collaborate with deal leads and functional owners to translate diligence findings into actionable integration plans that align with strategic objectives. 
  • Ensure necessary resources and support are in place for each project.   
  • Develop and communicate project priorities and work streams.  Ensure clear ownership, scope definition, and communication. Share progress in a way all stakeholders can follow.  
  • Manage all phases of the integration process, overseeing execution of activities such as data and system migration, process harmonization, policy alignment, and change management.   
  • Evaluate the outcome and impact of all integrations by collecting and analyzing data, metrics, and feedback.   
  • Build and refine the Integration playbook.  Report on the achievements, challenges, lessons learned and implement improvements that would optimize future integration projects. 
  • Manage expectations and feedback of employees and other stakeholders 
  • Escalate issues requiring senior-level input so they are resolved quickly and effectively 
  • Manage the interdependencies between functions so activities are prioritized and sequenced correctly.  Support critical thinking and problem solving across all workstreams. 
  • Evaluate the risks associated with an integration and mitigate them to the most reasonable extent possible 

Education, Experience, and Other Requirements: 

  • 5+ years of experience in M&A integration, corporate development, management consulting, or strategic project execution 
  • Exposure to multiple M&A transactions, ideally in operating companies with increasing scope and responsibility 
  • Demonstrated ability to lead a cross-functional process, not just follow it—able to move from individual contributor to integration lead 
  • Experience using tools like Airtable, Smartsheet, or Monday.com for managing integration workflows and dependencies 
  • Strong communicator with a high EQ—able to work across diverse stakeholder groups and bridge different functional priorities 
  • Analytical mindset and structured problem-solver; comfortable navigating ambiguity and change 
  • Background in a mix of advisory + in-house roles is welcome, but preference for experience within operating environments 

Bonus Points For: 

  • Prior experience acting as or supporting an IMO 
  • Familiarity with cultural integration, change management, and Day 1 planning 
  • MBA or other advanced degree (not required)
