The Harry's working model is in-office Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. Our beautiful 70,000 square foot SoHo office is decked out with bagels on Wednesdays and lunch on Thursdays, and fully stocked kitchens with snacks, coffee, and drinks everyday. About the role
As a Hard Products Quality Engineer, you will lead the development and execution of quality standards, inspection protocols, and validation plans for new Hard Products at Harry’s and Flamingo. You’ll own the validation of new tooling, component development, and finished goods production—ensuring we deliver high-quality products that delight our customers. You will work cross-functionally across internal teams and externally with global manufacturing partners to support new product launches, troubleshoot quality issues, and improve both product design and manufacturing processes. This is a high-impact role that sits at the heart of innovation, manufacturing, and customer experience. As we expand our Quality Management System and the Global Quality footprint across the organization, you will have the opportunity to impact our systems and processes, as well as have room for growth and development.
What you will accomplish
- Own the development and execution of qualification and inspection plans that ensure product requirements are fulfilled
- Optimize and standardize manufacturing processes to drive quality and efficiency across the supply chain
- Validate molds, tooling, and manufacturing systems to ensure they meet design, performance, quality and cost standards.
- Lead root cause analysis investigations and drive effective corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) to resolve quality issues, prevent recurrence, and ensure requirements are being met
- Be the voice of the customer throughout the product development process. Work cross functionally to ensure quality is designed into products.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives to reduce variability, improve product quality and consistency throughout the supply chain.
- Own PPAP (Production Part Approval Process) of all Harry’s and Flamingo Handle and System products
- Develop Mass Production Tool Qualification and Process Validation test plans; support execution of test plans
- Collaborate closely with cross functional partners, including Product Design Engineering, Reliability Engineering, Program Management, and Supply Chain, to drive design for manufacturability and build quality into products
- Perform audits at Contract Manufacturers and Suppliers
- Oversee production data, including Yield, Process Capability (CpK), and Inspection Data, to ensure quality is maintained throughout product lifecycle
- Travel (Domestic and International), up to 25%
This should describe you
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality, or a related technical field (e.g., Mechanical, Industrial, or Systems Engineering)
- Experience in Quality Engineering, Manufacturing Quality, or Quality Assurance, preferably within a consumer goods environment.
- Experience with high-volume manufacturing and/or supply chain operations preferred
- Experience with statistical quality control methods (SPC, DOE, capability studies), as well as data analysis tools such as Minitab and Excel.
- Proficient in root cause analysis and problem-solving tools (5 Whys, Fishbone, FMEA, 8D, etc.).
- Understanding of product testing, inspection procedures, and quality control protocols.
- Ability to interpret and provide input to engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documents
- Experience with injection molding manufacturing techniques is preferred. Experience with diecast manufacturing techniques is a plus.
- Have a robust understanding of Quality Engineering principles
- Some project management experience is beneficial

Here's who you'll work with
- Reporting to Hard Products Quality Engineering Manager
- Working on the Global Quality team, which is part of the Harry’s and Flamingo Supply Chain team
- Working closely with Product Design Engineering, Reliability, Global Supply, Program Management, Design, and Customer Experience teams. You will also work closely with our Asia Pacific Office team and our suppliers around the world.

That said, our salary ranges are based on paying competitively for our size and industry, and are one part of our total rewards package, which also includes a comprehensive set of benefits and our equity program. The base salary hiring range for this position is $132,000-$165,000, but the final compensation offer will ultimately be based on the candidate’s location, skill level and experience.
