The Director of Physical Security will lead and manage all aspects of Helion's physical security operations, including overseeing security staff, developing security processes and owning physical security-related technologies. In this role, you’ll balance maintaining the security of our facilities with ensuring that all employees and guests have a delightful customer experience while at Helion. You will spearhead security awareness initiatives, drive the implementation of site-specific directives, and serve as the primary contact for communication with team members and law enforcement agencies, ensuring a positive, safe and secure environment for all. This role is based out of Everett, WA and reports directly to our VP of People & Workplace Operations.
You Will:
- Develop and implement comprehensive security programs, including utilization of leading technology and technology practices
- Lead the entire physical security team, ensuring Helion’s physical security is maintained at the highest standard across multiple facilities
- Drive investigations into security matters across all Helion facilities, ensuring swift resolution
- Spearhead security awareness campaigns to elevate our physical security programs, fostering a culture of security preparedness
- Embrace building security practices that balance company security against overall Helion velocity and employee productivity
- Establish a benchmark for customer experience in all interactions with Helion's physical security team
- Foster a culture of trust, transparency, and continuous improvement within the security team
- Guide the implementation of site-specific directives to address unique security challenges
- Maintain a high level of visibility in all security-related matters
Required Skills:
- 10+ years of high-level security experience, with at least 5 years of in-house security leadership overseeing teams and developing security programs
- Strong focus on guest and employee experience, ensuring a balance between employee protocols and productivity to create a delightful customer experience
- Demonstrated experience leading a team, managing all aspects of physical security programs
- Expertise in security related technology, including access management systems and CCTV
- Preferred experience in a startup or growth-stage environment, demonstrating adaptability in rapidly changing environments

Final compensation is determined through a holistic evaluation of your experience, qualifications, and our commitment to maintaining internal equity, ensuring fairness and transparency across our teams.
This is an exempt salaried role.
Annual Base Pay
$171,264 - $224,328 USD
