About the role: 

We are looking for an experienced commercial expert with a deep understanding of e-commerce and marketplace ecosystems. At Helium 10, we are dedicated to empowering Amazon sellers and other marketplace sellers by providing innovative tools to grow their businesses. As a Strategic Partnerships Owner, you will play a key role in driving meaningful partnerships with major marketplaces like Amazon, Walmart, TikTok, and Temu, as well as developing new strategies to deliver value to sellers. You have a proven ability to work cross-functionally with internal teams and external partners to ensure that our platform continues to help sellers scale and succeed. Your strategic mindset, strong communication skills, and ability to negotiate are critical to your success in this role. 

As a Strategic Partnerships Owner at Helium 10, you will help drive the growth of our suite of tools by managing and expanding key marketplace partnerships. This role involves building strategic relationships with Amazon, Walmart, TikTok, and other partners, driving initiatives and solutions with these partners to help sellers leverage our tools to boost sales, streamline operations, and maximize advertising effectiveness. You will work closely with internal teams to ensure our tools are optimized to meet the needs of e-commerce sellers, helping them unlock growth opportunities across major online marketplaces. 

 Responsibilities: 

  • Partnership Strategy & Development:
    • Develop and implement a partnership strategy to elevate Helium 10’s value proposition to marketplace sellers, focusing on platforms like Amazon, Walmart, TikTok, and Temu.
    • Identify and create opportunities to enhance seller success by collaborating with marketplace platforms and other strategic partners.
    • Craft joint business plans with marketplace partners that focus on product offerings, promotional strategies, and tools that drive measurable results for sellers. 
  • Relationship Management:
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders at major marketplaces to help sellers optimize their operations, marketing, and sales.
    • Develop relationships with partners to advocate for Helium 10’s solutions in relevant marketplace initiatives, including beta programs, new features, and marketplace innovations.
    • Nurture relationships with senior decision-makers at marketplace platforms to ensure Helium 10 is integrated into key partner initiatives.
  • Cross-functional Leadership:
    • Collaborate with internal teams (Sales, Marketing, Product, Engineering) to deliver effective solutions that align with marketplace seller needs and industry trends
    • Partner with Marketing and Sales teams to develop targeted campaigns that unlock growth and drive increased education
    • Ensure seamless integration of partnership programs and tools to optimize the seller experience and outcomes.
  • Performance Metrics & Evaluation:
    • Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess the effectiveness of partnerships, focusing on outcomes like seller growth, advertising success, and platform adoption.
    • Regularly evaluate partnership performance, identifying areas for improvement and adjusting strategies to deliver on business goals.
    • Monitor the success of sellers using Helium 10 tools across various marketplaces and ensure strategies are aligned with seller needs and marketplace trends.
  • Market Expansion:
    • Leverage strategic partnerships to identify new opportunities for Helium 10 sellers to expand their reach on platforms  
    • Contribute to defining new market entries and go-to-market strategies, helping sellers tap into emerging marketplace opportunities.
  • Industry Presence:
    • Represent Helium 10 at industry events, conferences, and panels to build brand awareness and strengthen our position as a leader in e-commerce tools and marketplace solutions.
    • Stay ahead of trends in the e-commerce space and marketplace landscape, ensuring that Helium 10 continues to provide cutting-edge solutions for sellers. 

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Deep knowledge of the Amazon marketplace and other e-commerce platforms like Walmart
  • Strong understanding of marketplace operations, marketplace growth strategies and retail media campaign management
  • Proven ability to identify strategic opportunities and execute on them
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
  • Ability to collaborate across functional teams to deliver business outcomes
  • Willingness to travel 20-30% as required
