Role Overview

Are you the kind of person who can’t leave a coffee line without striking up a conversation? Do you believe that Jewish life on campus should be as diverse, vibrant, and welcoming as the students it serves? Join us as the Manager of Jewish Student Engagement and help shape a dynamic, inclusive Jewish experience for emerging adults on campus. You’ll be a front-facing force behind engagement, relationship-building, student leadership development, and creative Jewish programming.

In this role, you'll create strategic initiatives to inspire students to get involved, explore their Jewish identities, celebrate community, connect with Israel, and build meaningful relationships. You'll be part educator, part strategist, part community builder—and 100% dedicated to helping students write their own Jewish stories.

What You’ll Do

  • Cultivate one-on-one relationships with Jewish students from diverse backgrounds.
  • Supervise, mentor, and empower student leaders and volunteers to take ownership of Jewish programming and outreach.
  • Assist with the planning and implementation of weekly Shabbat experiences, holiday celebrations, social events, and learning cohorts.
  • Assist with initiatives such as Birthright Israel recruitment and follow-up, fellowship programs, and cohort-based Jewish learning.
  • Assist with marketing, communications, and social media strategy to effectively tell the story of Jewish life on campus.
  • Track engagement data and use metrics to inform program development and outreach efforts.
  • Support prospective students and families at tours, open houses, and orientation events.

What You’ve Accomplished

  • 3+ years of professional experience in Jewish life, student affairs, education, community organizing, or a closely related field.
  • A bachelor’s degree is required; an advanced degree is a plus

  • Entrepreneurial mindset—creative, adaptable, and ready to try new ideas.
  • Exceptional communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Confidence in social media strategy and digital storytelling.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.
  • Comfort mentoring students, leading programs, and pitching in wherever needed—from brainstorming to setting up Shabbat dinner.
  • Proven Success In:
    • Recruitment and engagement of Jewish young adults.
    • Creating vibrant and inclusive Jewish spaces.
    • Inspiring and mentoring Jewish students.
    • Building community.
    • Balancing multiple projects and managing time effectively.

 

What You’ll Receive

  • Competitive salary: $55,000–$65,000; based on experience
