About Hillel of Broward and Palm Beach, Broward County, and Nova Southeastern University

With over 5,000 Jewish students on the campuses we serve, Hillel of Broward and Palm Beach offers a pluralistic and inclusive community that offers social and networking events, community service projects, travel experiences to Israel and beyond, Jewish learning opportunities, free Shabbat dinners, a place to celebrate and observe holidays, and mentoring programs that integrate our Hillel within the community. Hillel of Broward and Palm Beach is a multi-campus Hillel encompassing Nova Southeastern University (NSU), Florida Atlantic University (FAU), Lynn University, Broward College, and Palm Beach State College. The main offices of Broward and Palm Beach Hillel are on the FAU campus, with program space at NSU and Lynn.

Nova Southeastern University (NSU) is a professional-focused institution with a distinctive student profile: approximately 25% undergraduate and 75% graduate students across programs including law, medicine, business, psychology, and health professions. Many students attend part-time, requiring flexible and creative approaches to engagement. A significant number of undergraduates come from out of state and remain for NSU’s graduate programs, creating strong potential for sustained relationship-building across multiple years. While undergraduate engagement is active, there is meaningful opportunity to grow Jewish life within the graduate and professional schools.

Located in Broward County, NSU sits in one of the country’s fastest-growing Jewish communities. Broward offers warm weather year-round, beautiful beaches, diverse neighborhoods, and a vibrant Jewish communal ecosystem – making it not only an exciting place to build Jewish life professionally, but also a wonderful place to live.
