Role Overview
Since the atrocities of October 7, Jewish students experienced a more than 700% increase in reported antisemitism on U.S. college campuses during the 2023–2024 academic year. While conditions improved on some campuses in 2024–2025, Jewish students continue to face unacceptable levels of bias, harassment, and exclusion in higher education.
Hillel International is launching Hillel Campus Partners (HCP) — a new, high-impact consultative offering designed to help universities improve policies, practices, and institutional responses related to Jewish life, antisemitism, and campus climate.
Hillel International is seeking an outstanding professional to serve as Director of Hillel Campus Partners & University Initiatives. Reporting to the Vice President for Hillel Campus Partners & University Initiatives, the Director will engage in business development, create key strategic deliverables, best-in-class product design, and serve as a trusted partner to senior university leaders across academic affairs, student affairs, campus safety, and beyond.
This role requires a leader who brings strong consulting expertise, data fluency, and a demonstrated ability to research and design institution-specific solutions and best practices for deployment at scale. This position is fully remote and open to eligible candidates in the United States. The position requires up to 30% of travel.
What You’ll Do
- Assist in the research, design, implementation, and execution of a go-to-market strategy for a portfolio of consultative products and services that support universities in improving campus climate for Jewish students — and, by extension, all students.
- Support Hillel Campus Partners by building a best-in-class consultative model for higher education institutions through research, leveraging best practices, developing resources, and implementing recommendations.
- Partner on business development activities by identifying new client opportunities, contributing to proposals, and helping expand existing client relationships.
- Synthesizing concepts into business case decks and leading collateral design for go-to-market strategies
- Work with clients to design a realistic implementation strategy for recommendations.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously while partnering closely with members of the HCP & Campus Solutions teams to research, design, and produce frameworks for solutions for campus policies, practices, and interventions that foster welcoming, inclusive, and accountable campus environments.
- Leverage insights and data from the external marketplace, and through Hillel, specifically the Campus Climate Initiative (CCI), Campus Impact Advisors (CIA), and university partners to develop customized evidence-informed strategies.
- Proactively collaborate across Hillel International to bring the full ecosystem of campus climate, policy, security, and educational resources to the development of solutions for university partners.
- Assist in the continual evaluation and iteration of portfolio products.
- Ensures client retention with a focus on increasing client satisfaction
What You've Accomplished
- 5+ years of experience, including at least 2+ years of professional experience in a formal consulting or advisory role.
- Proven success leading multiple client/ project teams in fast-paced, innovative environments.
- Track record of managing relationships and communications with internal and external stakeholders to ensure alignment on project plans and implementation.
What You’ll Bring to the Job
- Strong background in strategic problem-solving.
- Deep knowledge in consultation methodology, strategy development, and organizational change.
- Knowledge and in-depth experience with customer research techniques (interviews, surveys, focus groups, etc.).
- Strong data analysis skills with the ability to translate insights into actionable strategies.
- Experience building, launching, and scaling new products or consulting offerings, preferably within higher education or adjacent sectors.
- Ability to develop and present preliminary proposals as part of the services sales process
- Demonstrated success in contributing and collaborating with high-performing, collaborative teams.
- A passion for assisting clients to create a more welcoming, thoughtful, and inclusive space for Jewish students
- Exceptional formal and informal communication skills and the ability to influence, advise, and build trust with clients.
- Comfort operating in a dynamic, high-pressure environment with clarity, composure, and sound judgment.
- A strong commitment to Hillel International’s mission and values.
- Knowledge of and ideally experience at the intersection of Jewish life on campus, higher education systems, antisemitism (including legal and policy frameworks), and the broader political, media, and communal landscape.
What You’ll Receive
- Competitive salary in the nonprofit marketplace. The salary range for this role is $100,000 to $120,000.
- This position is fully remote and open to eligible candidates in the United States.
