About The Role
HP IQ is seeking an IT Engineer to help design, implement and maintain essential IT infrastructure for use by both HP IQ employees and our IT team. Our IT Engineers also work cross functionally with other teams to understand pain points, issues and blockers and find reliable and maintainable solutions. This role will also migrate tooling and infrastructure to HP tooling when appropriate and necessary. Additionally, this role serves as an escalation point for our IT Support team to assist and help when able.
What You Might Do
- Develop and support workflow automation for employee lifecycle and office technologies, including SaaS applications, MDM, asset management, etc.
- Migrate public cloud tooling to parent company tooling
- Build and maintain IT services with infrastructure as code
- Design and develop internal tooling and monitoring for IT services and cross functional partners
- Partner with our Facilities Team to set up new office spaces, including procurement and installation of AV, networking and security equipment
- Identify workflows, business processes and systems that could be migrated to parent company standards
- Configure, deploy and maintain company hardware
- Serve as an internal escalation point for our IT Support Specialist team
Essential Qualifications
- BS in Computer Science or equivalent / 3+ years of equivalent IT Engineering experience Experience with scripting languages (Python, JavaScript, Bash, Powershell, etc.)
- Experience using REST APIs
- Understanding of network theory
- Familiarity with AWS, Azure and public clouds
Preferred Skills
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes
- Experience with Terraform or other Infrastructure as Code tooling
- Hands on experience with office build outs and moves
- Hands-on experience with client platform tooling for macOS and Windows (MDM, ABM, Intune, etc.)
- Ability to take ownership of problems presented by other teams and apply IT solutions
Salary: $135,000- $188,000
Compensation & Benefits (Full-Time Employees)
The salary range for this role is listed above. Final salary offered is based upon multiple factors including individual job-related qualifications, education, experience, knowledge and skills.
