ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking a strategic and results-driven Director of Human Resources to lead our HR department and support the overall objectives of our organization. The Director of HR will be responsible for developing and implementing HR strategies, programs, and initiatives that align with our business goals and foster a positive work environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive experience in HR management, and a deep understanding of HR best practices and trends. This role offers a unique opportunity to shape the direction of our HR function and drive organizational success through effective talent management and team member engagement strategies.

Some of the key responsibilities you should expect are the following:

Strategic HR Leadership:

  • Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives that support the organization's mission, vision, and values.
  • Provide strategic guidance and leadership on all HR-related matters, including talent acquisition, retention, performance management, and team member development.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to align HR strategies with business objectives and drive organizational growth and success.
  • Manage and lead HR team members
  • Attend HR and industry conferences to stay up to date on trends

Team Member Relations and Engagement:

  • Serve as a point of contact for team member inquiries and concerns, providing guidance and support as needed.
  • Address team member relations issues, including conflicts, complaints, and disciplinary actions, in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  • Conduct investigations into team member grievances and recommend appropriate resolutions.
  • Foster a positive work environment by promoting team member engagement, diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives.
  • Implement team member feedback mechanisms and initiatives to enhance team member satisfaction and morale.
  • Visit various site locations to have HR presence in person with team members.
  • Oversee company culture initiatives and implementations
  • Manage internal communications with teams and various internal boards

Performance Management:

  • Administer performance management processes, including goal setting, performance evaluations, and performance improvement plans.
  • Provide coaching and support to managers and team members on performance-related matters.
  • Identify opportunities for team member development and career advancement to enhance team member engagement and retention.

HR Compliance and Risk Management:

  • Ensure compliance with relevant employment laws, regulations, SOX requirements, and industry standards.
  • Develop and implement HR policies, procedures, and practices to mitigate risks and promote a culture of compliance.
  • Stay informed about changes in employment laws and regulations and proactively update HR policies and practices as needed.
  • Lead policy governance in collaboration with Legal, ensuring all company policies are compliant, up-to-date, and effectively communicated to employees at all levels
  • Work in partnership with Internal Audit to implement and adhere to company audit protocols, supporting risk management and regulatory compliance.

ABOUT YOU

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
  • 3-5+ years of progressive HR experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
  • Strong leadership and strategic planning skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Deep knowledge of HR best practices, employment laws, and regulations.
  • Experience in talent management, team member relations, and organizational development.
  • HR certification (e.g., SHRM-SCP, SPHR) is a plus.
