Why This Role?
As an Account Director at Hotwire, you’ll use your expertise and passion for the B2B industry to plan and drive campaigns, manage client relationships, and lead teams with minimal senior oversight. A creative and strategic thinker with a passion for technology, you’ll combine your skills with commercial acumen to deliver excellent client service. Balancing new business opportunities with the organic growth of current clients, you’ll support your team’s growth while championing Hotwire’s values and culture to inspire your team and clients.

 

Accountabilities:

Delivering the Hotwire Vision and Growth:

  • Be incredibly commercially minded, continually developing this further.
  • Develop and convey strategic viewpoints to move your clients forward seamlessly.
  • Generate new and exciting campaign ideas that achieve business objectives and grow accounts organically.
  • Proactively seek new business and agency opportunities to develop your profile and expertise within Hotwire.

Deliver the Best Client Experiences:

  • Manage a portfolio of 6-8 clients, overseeing budgets and team hours.
  • Lead client work, ensuring you are the final checkpoint for campaigns and can stabilize the team when needed.
  • Maintain a results-focused approach, ensuring client satisfaction through deliverables.
  • Foster strong influencer relationships, continually refining these connections.
  • Approach campaigns with an integrated mindset, managing media relations, social media, events, and owned content.
  • Demonstrate strong project management skills, juggling multiple projects while instilling confidence in senior clients and motivating your team.

Deliver the Best People Experiences:

  • Inspire and drive junior team members to reach their full potential.
  • Act as the right-hand person to your Associate Director or Director.
  • Participate in team development, identifying growth opportunities.
  • Be hands-on and a true team player, demonstrating best practices across media relations and content creation.

 

You’ll Bring:

  • 6+ years’ experience in the B2B communications space.
  • A proven track record in B2B communications with a passion for emerging technology.
  • Experience working with global brands and understanding the need for localization.
  • Excellent team leadership ability with a genuine desire to motivate and develop a team.
  • Strategic and innovative thinking for both clients and the agency.
  • Superb client relationship skills.
  • Experience managing team hours, spotting over-servicing, and addressing holiday-related issues.
  • A solid network of influencer contacts spanning media, social media, and wider stakeholders (e.g., analysts, think tanks, academics).
  • An entrepreneurial outlook with a strong track record in new business experience.
  • Ability to multitask and maintain composure under pressure.
