Production Supervisor
The Production Supervisor is responsible for safely and effectively leading day-to-day production operations on 2nd shift at the Oshkosh Branch. This role ensures production activities are completed in an efficient, compliant, and cost-effective manner while meeting customer delivery, quality, and inventory requirements.
The Production Supervisor serves as the primary frontline leader for production personnel, reinforcing Hydrite’s Standard of Excellence through consistent expectations, conformance to SOPs, and strong communication. The role partners closely with the Manufacturing Manager and support functions to maintain operational stability and customer satisfaction.
Primary responsibilities include:
- Lead by example, endorsing all Hydrite work, safety, and regulatory rules.
- Provide daily direction, coaching, mentorship, and feedback to production employees.
- Maintain high standards of housekeeping throughout production and warehouse areas.
- Participate in safety meetings, audits, incident investigations, and corrective actions.
- Plan and supervise daily production activities to meet delivery schedules and inventory targets.
- Assign work and manage labor to optimize equipment utilization and employee time.
- Ensure accurate batch execution, labeling, and material handling per SOPs.
- Maintain accurate inventory through timely and accurate system transactions.
- Monitor performance and reinforce standards, accountability, and safe behaviors.
- Support employee onboarding, qualification, and ongoing training.
- Participate in annual performance evaluations and development planning.
- Promote a positive, team-focused shift culture aligned with Hydrite values.
- Communicate production plans, priorities, and changes to employees on shift.
- Support daily rail operations including rail switches.
- Complete production tasks as necessary to support operations.
- Coordinate daily operations with support departments including EHS, Quality, Maintenance, Supply Chain, and Warehouse.
REPORTING STRUCTURE
- This position reports to the Manufacturing Manager
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Prior experience in manufacturing, warehouse, or chemical operations preferred.
- Prior supervisory experience preferred
- Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills along with the ability to read, write, and speak English.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel along with computer skills and production data entry systems.
- Working knowledge of safety, regulatory, and operational requirements.
- Valid Driver's license
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to work in a non-climate-controlled warehouse or production environment.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally and perform routine manual tasks.
- Ability to wear fall protection and climb ladders up to 50 feet.
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, twisting, and reaching throughout the shift.
- Ability to meet site safety requirements including vision and respirator standards.
- Regular attendance and reliability are essential.
