Job Description  

  • Job Title: Senior Consultant, Healthcare Space Development   
  • Base Salary: $95,000 - $115,000 based on skillset, experience and location  
  • Location: USA 
  • Work model: Remote 
  • Travel Requirements: 50% of national and international travel may be required  
  • Reports to: Director, Healing Spaces 

Job Summary:  

As a Senior Consultant, Space Development, you will work closely with on the consulting team specifically on the Space Development team to ensure that projects are completed with consulting project leads and our clients to make healthcare better, more affordable and accessible for Tribal Communities and support Indigenous Pact’s mission to promote Health Equity for Tribes.   

You will help oversee daily execution of projects, project cost, quality, risk, safety, schedule management, and guidance for assigned healthcare development projects.   

A key requirement is the skill and ability to analyze risks/opportunities, gather necessary resources, and work with vendors to track the inventory of equipment and materials. You are accountable for planning, creating, and managing general projects; managing the schedule, balancing the budget, negotiating contracts, assigning tasks to vendors, contractors, and subcontractors, tracking activities from beginning to end, managing supplies and measuring and reporting on project performance.   

Efficient and effective communication is a core competency for this role. You are a contact point for all project participants and will consistently be developing and enhancing relationships with clients, stakeholders, design professionals, trade partners, Indigenous Pact leadership and colleagues as well as those in the surrounding community.  

Essential Job Functions: 

  • Support healthcare development projects and client projects by identifying and addressing client needs, gaps and challenges.   
  • Manage project resources and tasks ensuring projects are delivered on time and within scope and budget   
  • Work closely and collaboratively with technical services and the clinical area regarding solution strategy, delivery, and change management for projects    
  • Direct and coordinate the efforts to implement and manage the changes necessary to ensure a smooth transition to the new or upgraded solution(s)    
  • Develop project charter and other project governance deliverables, conduct requirement gatherings, and conduct analysis where required    
  • Bring forth best practices in Project management planning, implementation, and execution   
  • Scheduling routine meetings and recording decisions (e.g., next steps, assigned tasks, etc.)   
  • Breaking complex projects into simpler tasks and setting goals and timeframes   
  • Measuring and reporting on the project performance through reports or documentation to all relevant stakeholders    
  • Acting as the contact point for all project participants   
  • Monitoring the progress of the project and addressing potential issues/risks    
  • Coordinating quality controls to ensure the deliverables meet client demands   
  • Retrieving necessary information such as related case studies and client/user requirements   
  • Tracking expenses, predicting future costs and adhering to project budget and milestones    
  • Facilitate in-person and virtual presentations with clients to provide updates and program status or barrier removal    
  • Assume other related duties such as coordinating core technical or infrastructure changes, coordinating project activities with departments and staff and vendors as required    
  • Conduct post-implementation review and lessons learned documentation

Required Skills/Abilities:

Analytical Skills:

Project management skills: 

  • Experience managing healthcare projects and execution is highly desirable, specifically construction or space development projects  
  • Experience with project management software such as Trello and MS Project  
  • Experience with technical documentation, flowcharts, and schedules

  • Your problem-solving abilities are top notch, ensuring you can effectively manage projects and overcome obstacles with ease. 
  • You are a master at gathering and organizing data and can synthesize disparate data into meaningful information and insights. 
  • You can navigate through situations where you have incomplete or imperfect information. 
  • Strong ability to effectively organize and manage workloads for self and others. 

Tech-Savvy:  

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word), data analysis tools, and project management tools (Asana, MS Project). 
  • Ability to learn and adapt to new technologies that support the Consulting Team and organization. 
  • Experience with other technical tools such as NEST, Salesforce, and CRM’s may be required

  • As a Senior Consultant, you will regularly communicate with members of the Health Care Consulting Team, members of other internal teams and the clients Indigenous Pact serves.

Education and Experience:  

  • 5+ years of project management experience managing medium to large-scale healthcare construction projects   
  • 3+ years' experience as a Project Coordinator, Project Administrator or a similar role   
  • 1+ years of experience in the HealthCare industry or relevant experience working with Electronic Health systems, Claims systems, etc.     
  • Bachelor’s degree in project management, business administration, or similar or any combination of education and professional experience that would meet the responsibilities listed.  
  • Additional certification (e.g., PMP, LEAN, WELL) is a plus 

Physical and sensory demands:  

  • This position will require extended periods of sitting, typing, and working on a computer screen. 
  • Close vision is required for computer work. 

Working environment:  

  • This is a remote position, with expected working hours of 9:00am to 5:00pm. Adjustment of working hours may be required to accommodate time zones.  
  • Local and national travel required - up to 50%
