Senior Demand Analyst, Strategy & Insights

PLEASE NOTE: this is an independent contractor position (indefinite contracting time period)

Responsibilities:

• Perform in depth analyses using large datasets on factors that influence demand, including channel and marketplace trends, macro-economic factors, micro market competition and search funnel metrics 
• Perform macro market trends research, micro market case studies and track relevant industry news 
• Complete Ad-hoc analysis that contribute to data-driven strategic decision-making by the executive team 
• Develop and monitor OKRs and KPIs across the Demand departments 
• Continually identify areas for efficiency, automation and organizational improvement, developed proposals and implement solutions 
• Support the Strategy team in wide-ranging analytics, strategic decisions, experimentation and ad hoc requests 

Qualifications:

• Possess a curious mind, be a quick learner and be open to new ideas 
• Ability to coordinate among disparate groups/departments to drive projects forward and identify solutions 
• Bias towards communication and sharing of knowledge and ideas 
• Bachelor's Degree in Business, Management, Data Analytics, Computer Science, Business Intelligence, Statistics or Mathematics or relevant experience.  
• Three (3) to ten (7) years of consulting experience with demonstrated technical skills in big data and/or business analytics.  
• Demonstrated experience researching and building business solutions grounded in data to help fix, scale, or create efficiencies within a business or business unit. 
• Strong SQL skills and experience including subqueries and calculations in queries 
• Experience with large volumes of unstructured & structured data 
• Experience using Python for EDA, data processing and analysis.  Machine learning model experience is a huge plus. 
• Experience building visualizations in BI tools (i.e., PowerBI, Tableau, Lookr).  
• Experience in e-commerce, retail, management consulting, or investment banking  
• Willing and available to work at least 3-4 hours per day overlap with Pacific US Time Zone 

Skills and Competencies:

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and SQL. 
• Self-Motivated quick starter who takes ownership of assignments and duties with minimal guidance. 
• Critical Thinking: Exceptional quantitative, analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to draw insights and recommendations from analysis and present proposals to internal stakeholders.
• Excellent presentation skills with the ability to effectively digest complex concepts and effectively communicate the data both in written and verbal.
• Data Driven Mindset & Strong Data Skills 

1. 1. Must be comfortable analyzing large quantities of data to create summaries, develop models, and extract insights 
   2. Able to work quickly, able to experiment and amend approach based on data analysis and results.

COMPENSATION

The salary range for this position is ₡11,383,492-₡14,229,365 CRC annually. This is an indefinite independent contracting position.
