Decision Science Analyst

Job Purpose/Overview:

Responsible for providing support for all analytics initiatives for the organization, including innovating, building, and maintaining well-managed data solutions and capabilities to solve business problems.

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrated ability to operate within one of the four pillars (Customer, Performance, Promotion, Relationship)
  • Gather, document, and manage project requirements
  • Drive internal and client-based process and project management initiatives
  • Support project implementation activities including deliverable design and execution
  • Support with gathering, manipulating and synthesizing data (e.g., attributes, transactions, behaviors, etc.), at the direction of senior members of the Propensity4 team
  • Support with applying scientific/quantitative analytical approaches to draw conclusions and make 'insight to action' recommendations to answer the business objective and drive the appropriate change
  • Able to execute project tasks against set timeline and objectives
  • Able to plan/organize own work.
  • Competently communicates to the client on relevant subject. Able to answer client questions relevant to the assigned task.
  • Translates recommendations into communication materials
  • Assist in drafting, interpreting and coordinating operational policies and procedures
  • Deliver analysis/findings in a manner that conveys understanding
  • Execute targeting activities with the support of senior members of Propensity4 including declining/cohorting in line with Propensity4 approved methodologies

Leadership Responsibilities:

  • Willingness to speak up during internal discussions by engaging in team conversations, asking questions and open to challenge the status quo
  • Actively contributes to the development and maintenance of an inclusive, high performance culture

Technical Capabilities:

  • Willingness to learn and work with advanced analytics tools and techniques such as SAS, R, and Python
  • Proficient in business intelligence tools such as Tableau, Qlik, PowerBi, etc
  • Proficient in using various Microsoft Suite applications such as PowerPoint, Excel, etc..
  • Sound and strong expertise in creating Power Point presentations that will facilitate communication of complex analysis outcomes.

Requirements & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Applied Mathematics, Operations Research, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Computer Science, Econometrics, or a similar discipline. Master’s degree preferred
  • 2-3 years of experience, a strong one-year practical data analysis experience is an equivalency
  • Experience with Health Care and Pharmaceuticals is preferred
  • Sound understanding of market research techniques
  • Proven analytical capability and abstract reasoning ability
  • Ability to present findings to a non-technical audience
  • Experience with spreadsheet data manipulation and analysis with some client-based project management
  • Self-starter who can work in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment. Someone who is adapt to change
  • Ability to meet with clients as well as be a part of a solutions team
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently
  • Strong time management skills

 

The base salary range represents the low and high end of the salary range for this position. This range may differ based on your experience and skill set, geographic location, and cost of living considerations. Compensation

$65,000 - $80,000 USD
