About Team & Role
The Business Analytics & Insights (BA&I) team plays a pivotal role in driving data-driven decision-making across InMobi — transforming data into strategic insights, operational efficiencies, and measurable business impact.
As a Lead Analyst in the BA&I team, you will partner with senior business leaders across sales, marketing, and operations to uncover opportunities through data. You will lead analytical initiatives that enhance business performance, define key metrics, and deliver insights that influence strategic and tactical decisions. This is a high-impact role that blends analytics, problem-solving, and business acumen — ideal for someone who thrives at the intersection of data and strategy. You will build scalable analytical solutions, automate reporting, and leverage AI-first tools to improve decision-making speed and accuracy. This is a hands-on, high-visibility role ideal for someone who loves solving complex problems through data, automation, and storytelling.
Who you are
- Analytical: You appreciate a good spreadsheet, are comfortable with big data sets and are meticulous in your metrics. You have a track record of driving actionable insights that result in measurable growth.
- A Do-er: You can execute on complex and ambiguous projects with conviction & good judgement and need minimal guidance & direction.
- Collaborative by nature: You have experience partnering cross-functionally with Product, Finance, S&O, & Marketing, amongst other groups. You’re a strong team player and can work effectively with others across time zones in a global set up.
- A strategic thinker: You lean on your market experience and commercial instincts to build and drive the company’s growth strategy.
Key Responsibilities:
Analytics & Decision Support
- Lead the design and execution of analytical projects to solve high-priority business problems.
- Translate complex data into simple, actionable insights for business stakeholders and leadership.
- Conduct deep-dive analyses to identify performance drivers, trends, and optimization opportunities.
- Build and automate dashboards, scorecards, and KPI frameworks to track business health.
Business Partnership
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (GTM, Product, Operations) to define success metrics and analytical needs.
- Proactively identify areas of improvement across revenue growth, efficiency, and customer engagement.
- Provide analytical leadership in quarterly and annual business planning cycles.
Data & Tooling Enablement
- Partner with engineering and data platform teams to ensure reliable, scalable, and governed data availability.
- Drive automation of recurring reports and analyses to enable self-serve analytics.
- Leverage modern BI tools (Power BI, Looker) and advanced analytics platforms (GCP, Databricks) for insights generation.
AI-First Analytics Mindset – Automation & Workflow Optimization
- Adopt an AI-first approach in every aspect of the analytical lifecycle — from data extraction, report generation, metric tracking, and processing to insight generation and storytelling.
- Develop reusable analytical templates, workflows, and pipelines using Python, SQL, and cloud-native tools (e.g., Databricks, GCP, Power BI).
- Partner with AI engineering teams to automate analytical workflows by 50-60%
- Continuously explore new AI tools and automation frameworks to improve speed, accuracy, and decision quality.
Leadership & Mentorship
- Mentor a team of analysts to develop their technical and business problem-solving skills.
- Establish best practices for analysis, visualization, and storytelling across the BA&I function.
- Foster a data-first culture through structured knowledge sharing and capability building.
Qualifications:
- Master's/bachelor’s degree Computer science, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics in a related field.
- 5-8 years of proven experience as a Data Analyst, within a Tech/Consulting/Analytics, preferably in the Ad tech or Digital advertising industry
- Experience working with cloud data warehouses (GCP, Snowflake, BigQuery, or Databricks).
- Advanced proficiency in SQL and Python (or R) for data analysis and modelling.
- Strong knowledge of BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Looker.
- Should have developed and implemented at least 3 analytics solutions (end to end) which includes translating a business problem into a data analytics problem and providing a sustainable solution.
- Prior experience within the AdTech industry is a plus
- Experience working with GTM units is a plus.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience applying AI & automation to reporting, forecasting or analytical workflows
- Exposure to agentic BI or conversational analytics frameworks
