Disbursement Associate

Omaha, Nebraska

POSITION SUMMARY:

Responsible for all tasks related to the disbursement of checks, validating client payments, resolving vendor inquiries, gathering audit documentation, and special projects.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Oversee daily payments within SAP
  • Review positive pay exceptions daily
  • Research vendor inquires on all systems and responds accordingly
  • Transmit positive pay files to our bank daily
  • Responsible for the researching and reissuing of return payments
  • Perform month-end metrics
  • Maintain Direct Debit File
  • Monitor Accounts Payable for various exceptions
  • Perform payment approvals within our bank
  • Perform other payment related inquiries/duties as needed
  • Regular and reliable attendance required
  • Ability to work onsite in an office environment with limited remote work alternatives, consistent with applicable law

EDUCATION, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • High school diploma or equivalent, associate or bachelor's degree preferred
  • One to two years’ finance and accounting experience in a corporate environment
  • Some college accounting or finance course work would be helpful
  • Proficient in Excel
  • Previous SAP, and Bank experience a plus
  • Ability to interact well with other internal departments and external operating units
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Outstanding organization skills needed
