IronMountain Solutions is seeking a Systems Architect, with experience in enterprise level systems architecture, to provide Systems Engineering technical services. The customer organization we support provides the enterprise architecting, analysis, and systems engineering solutions that will determine the future integrated systems.
This position is based near Fort Sill, OK. Hybrid or remote arrangements may be considered; however, candidates must have access to a classified SCIF within reasonable commuting distance to process classified materials and perform secure engineering tasks.
This position supports an option year extension period of performance through January 2027, with potential follow-on internal task order transition opportunities across the division.
Core Responsibilities
- Developing architectural framework using Unified Architecture Framework (UAF) for a large enterprise.
- Leading a system engineering team in collaboration and approval of engineering products through engineering reviews and engineering milestone events.
- Working across multiple Offices and Organizations to identify and define needs.
- Identifying and defining future capability and interoperability needs.
- Identifying key architecture and system level trades.
- Developing strategies in support of Department of War architectures.
- Assessing the performance of current and future architecture concepts.
- Providing technical and programmatic guidance to the architecture and system level requirements process.
- Develop architecture models to capture the holistic view of the enterprise.
- Preparing briefings for senior decision makers.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use tools or controls; normal physical activity (reach with hands and arms; climb stairs); and communicate effectively with all levels of employees and leadership. The employee must occasionally lift or move office products and supplies, up to 25 pounds
Required Qualifications
- Education: Bachelors Degree and twelve (12) years or more experience in Science, Technology, Engineering or Math (STEM) or Masters Degree and ten (10) years or more experience in STEM.
- Clearance: Active Secret clearance with ability to obtain a TS/SCI clearance; TS/ SCI preferred.
- Proven experience with technical fundamentals in an existing Army program (preferably long-range fires/ artillery).
- Expert-level proficiency with use of architecting to support senior level enterprise decision making.
- Expert-level proficiency with architecture tools such as Cameo.
- Experience in the development and maintenance of architecture products across the span of Department of Defense Architecture Framework (DoDAF), to include Project Views, Capability Views, Operational Views, System/Service Views, Standard Views and Data and Information Views.
- Familiarity with and ability to develop architecture artifacts using legacy modelling standards and languages (e.g. Unified Profile for MODAF and DoDAF (UPDM) Unified Modeling Language (UML), Systems Modelling Language (SysML) and Business Process Modeling and Notation (BPMN) as well as current standards such as Unified Architecture Framework and Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE).
- Architecture domain understanding from a holistic enterprise perspective.
- Ability to recommend enterprise architecture tradeoffs, impacts, and advancement.
- Proven experience in development and use of modeling for architecture solutions.
- Expert-level understanding of core systems engineering and analysis disciplines and processes.
- Experience with lifecycle readiness from System Requirements Review through system decommissioning.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a fast paced, dynamic, and energetic environment.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Customer focused and capable of representing the customer in community forums.
