Event Manager - Remote (6144)

itD is seeking an Event Manager to lead the final planning and execution of large-scale, enterprise-level events, ensuring seamless delivery and high-impact experiences for global audiences. This role is critical to maintaining operational excellence across key client engagements, with direct influence on event success through coordination, stakeholder alignment, and onsite execution.

 

The ideal candidate will bring deep experience in enterprise event management and a proven track record of executing large-scale conferences, trade shows, and marketing events with measurable outcomes.

 

The role is 100% remote. This is a W2 opportunity with itD and contracted at a Fortune 500 client in Silicon Valley. The individual selected will be instrumental in helping us continue to deliver excellence to our base of leading global accounts.
 
 
You will also interact closely with itD's Communities of Practice (CoP), expand your network, and grow your career. This is a unique chance to meet others who think differently and are passionate about challenging the status quo!
 
 
Internal Responsibilities
  • Attend regular internal practice community meetings.
  • Collaborate with your itD practice team on industry thought leadership.
  • Complete client case studies and learning material (blogs, media material).
  • Build out material to contribute to the Digital Transformation practice.
  • Attend internal itD networking events (in person and virtual).
  • Work with leadership on career fast-track opportunities.
Job Title: Event Manager
Location: Remote USA (preferably CT/ET)
Duration: 6-7 months (no extension)

From the Client Sponsor Team: 

We are looking for a well-rounded Events Manager who has had trade show and onsite conference experience. We'd want someone who can come in and take the baton for the final planning and execution (and be able to travel to be onsite)

Required Skills

  • 5+ years of ONSITE, Event Management in Enterprise markets with large-scale audiences
  • Event management tools: CVENT, GES, Jiffle, InfoSec, CASPR, ASANA
  • Marketing Events with 500+ attendees
  • Large Trade Shows
  • Booth Management

Required travel:

CCW set-up and execution dates: Monday, June 22 – Thursday, June 25. (Main event dates are June 24-25) 

Possible travel (TBD in June 2026 and TBD October 2026):

WebexOne set-up and execution dates: Sunday, October 4 – Friday, October 9 (Main event dates are October 5-8) 

Key Responsibilities:

1. CCW 2026 (May – June)
Join CCW weekly planning calls 
Support Client Manager as needed 
Understand all onsite plans for execution 
Host KBYG Call (possibly) 
POC for Jiffle meetings management tool 
Weekly Jiffle reports in meeting space 
Comms with meeting hosts 
Create/Update meetings manually as needed 
Onsite support at CCW  
Arrive Monday, June 22 
Onsite management of booth vendor, welcome desk and 1:1 meeting program 
Depart Friday, June 26    
Post-event tasks 
Management of all leads to Sales Lead
Update debrief deck with pictures/metrics/feedback 
Host debrief call with onsite team 

2. Infocomm 2026 (May– June)
POC for Jiffle meetings management tool 
Weekly jiffle reports in meeting space 
Comms with meeting hosts 
Create/Update meetings manually as needed 
NO onsite support needed. 

3. WebexOne 2026 (July-Oct) 
Support with sponsorship fulfillment workstream 
Manage sponsor speaker information and coordinate with speaker management lead for hand-over of all speaker details.
Support with sponsor speaker management comms (speaker details, date/time of session, FAQs. Etc) 
Co-create sponsor KBYG guide to send to all sponsors before the event.     
Onsite coordination of sponsor speakers (set-up for sessions, comms, etc)
Post-event debrief support (pictures/metrics/feedback)
Support Swag/Activation workstreams
Coordinate final activation schedules (move-in, move-out) as well as vendor set-up/tear-down
Coordinate final swag orders, shipments, etc.
Onsite coordination for swag and activations
Post-event debrief support (pictures/metrics/feedback)
Possible onsite support at WebexOne
Arrive Sunday, October 4
Onsite management of swag, activations, sponsor speaker support and any needed set-up/tear-down 
Depart Friday, October 9

4. Planning - 3rd party events in the fall/early 2027
Possible coordination/support with third party events
Microsoft Ignite 2026 (November 2026)
NRF 2027 (January 2027)

  • Capable of producing executive level PowerPoint slides for meetings
  • Comfortable building and maintaining a registration page for a hybrid event with 20k+ total registrations
  • Strong understanding of post-event metrics and their importance to the overall event success
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Excel, SharePoint, and Project Management tools
  • Comfortable using Webex collaboration software as main communication tool

Preferred Qualifications and Skills

  • Previous tech experience: Cisco, Meta, Google, Apple, Microsoft
  • Product Marketing
