Senior Accountant - Poland (6293)
itD is seeking a Senior Accountant to manage statutory, tax, and entity-level accounting activities while supporting accurate financial reporting and compliance across international regions. The ideal candidate will bring strong General Ledger accounting knowledge, experience with audits and financial statements, and a track record of effective collaboration across teams.

Duration: 12 months

Responsibilities:
• Manage statutory and tax compliance activities, including relationships with outsourced service providers and associated local filings and audits.
• Review and ensure the accuracy of local General Ledgers, including reconciliations and differences between local GAAP and US GAAP.
• Prepare or review local financial statements in accordance with IFRS or similar applicable accounting standards.
• Partner with Tax teams on annual tax packages and segmented P&L activities, and support internal and external compliance-related audits.
• Collaborate with cross-functional process leads across Opex, Cash, Intercompany, Fixed Assets, and Payroll Accounting to ensure accurate end-to-end entity financials and timely period close and reporting.
• Conduct periodic entity-level balance sheet reviews and business reviews while partnering with business units and key stakeholders to resolve accounting issues and escalations.
• Ensure accurate and timely financial information delivery while maintaining effective controls across upstream and downstream data sources and supporting continuous process improvement.
Internal Responsibilities:
• Attend regular internal practice community meetings.
• Collaborate with your itD practice team on industry thought leadership.
• Complete client case studies and learning material (blogs, media material).
• Build out material to contribute to the Digital Transformation practice.
• Attend internal itD networking events (in person and virtual).
• Work with leadership on career fast-track opportunities.
Required Qualifications and Skills:
• 8+ years of accounting operations experience.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in an international or multinational environment.
• Strong General Ledger accounting knowledge and understanding of accounting principles.
• Experience with audits, financial statements, and statutory/tax compliance activities.
• Ability to interpret and apply local accounting and regulatory requirements for both local and GAAP reporting purposes.
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively across teams, geographic regions, and business functions.
• Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Strong business understanding and ability to work collaboratively through structured issue-resolution processes.
• Willingness to travel occasionally to support compliance activities across regions.
Preferred Qualifications and Skills:
• Knowledge of US GAAP.
• Experience with Hyperion or Oracle.
• Program or project management experience.
• Experience with accounting certification programs such as ACCA.
• German, French, or Spanish language skills.
Education:
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field required.
• Achieved or part-achieved accounting certification such as ACCA preferred.
