Job Description

We’re looking for a proactive, creative Content Writer who thrives at the intersection of storytelling, strategy, and technology. Your role is to produce content that drives measurable results—website traffic, engagement, leads, and customer loyalty—while staying true to our voice and mission. 

You’ll be more than a writer—you’ll be a strategic content partner. You’ll use AI tools like ChatGPT to accelerate workflows, research, and ideation. You’ll take inspiration from key frameworks—Linchpin (making yourself indispensable), They Ask, You Answer (answering the real questions customers have), Storybrand (clear, customer-focused messaging), and Endless Customers (sustainable growth strategies)—to craft content that is both creative and purposeful. 

Job Responsibilities

  • Write compelling scripts for ITS Learning Center videos
  • Produce blogs, landing pages, e-books, marketing materials, email campaigns, and social media posts that follow our content strategy
  • Use AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT) to brainstorm ideas, refine drafts, and increase production efficiency—while maintaining a human, authentic voice
  • Interview subject-matter experts to uncover valuable insights and turn them into engaging, easy-to-understand content
  • Adapt complex technical topics into clear, approachable language for a broad audience
  • Meet deadlines consistently while managing multiple content projects 

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in English, Journalism, PR, Communications, or related field
  • Proven writing and editorial skills with excellent grammar and style control
  • Basic scriptwriting experience; familiarity with AP or Chicago style guides
  • Bonus: background in print or broadcast journalism
  • Experience applying strategic frameworks like They Ask, You Answer, Storybrand, or similar content methodologies
  • Ability to think like a teacher—understanding audience needs and the best way to present information
  • Comfortable with AI content tools, curious about emerging technology, and eager to integrate them into your workflow
  • Strong project management skills and the ability to deliver quality work under tight deadlines
  • People-first mindset with excellent collaboration skills
  • Capable of producing ~1,000 words of high-quality content daily
  • Commitment to continuous learning and becoming indispensable to the team (Linchpin mindset)
  • Ability to spot and tell authentic brand and customer stories without sales fluff 

Job Requirements

  • A home office set up that meets the following:
    • Computer: A working computer with a minimum of 8GB RAM and one of the following:
      • Windows 11 with an Intel i5 or i7 (8th generation or newer), or
      • AMD Ryzen 5 or 7 (2000 series or newer), or
      • macOS 12 or newer.
    • Internet: Stable internet connection with at least 5 Mbps download and upload speeds.
    • Audio Equipment: A quality headset with a noise-cancellation feature for meetings.
    • Mobile Device: A smartphone capable of installing the Microsoft Authenticator app.
    • Webcam: An HD webcam for video calls.
  • A very strong cultural fit the ITS way (Our core values will be discussed during the interview) 
  • Excellent command of the English language both spoken and written 
  • Able to work full time 40 hrs. a week:  8:00 AM to 5:00 PM PST (Monday to Friday)
  • Able to pass our online behavior and cognitive assessments.
  • Able to provide NBI Clearance (for PH applicants).

Compensation

Pay rate starts at $5.75/hr and vary by experience and location.
