WHAT YOU WILL DO

We’re seeking a Senior Software Engineer with a strong background in data architecture, integration design, and enterprise-scale systems.

In this role, you will lead the design and development of eCommerce solutions, robust API services, and high-performance data platforms that drive consistency and scalability across global retail systems.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Architect and implement enterprise systems that support product data platforms like MDM/PIM (especially STEP), ensuring accuracy, scalability, and integration with core services.

  • Develop backend services and microservices using Java, C#, and .NET frameworks, applying best practices in cloud-native development (GCP preferred).

  • Lead technical planning and system performance strategies, with a focus on resiliency, throughput, and secure data flow across distributed environments.

  • Build and maintain modern APIs and service orchestration layers using event-driven architectures (Kafka, MQ, Pub/Sub) and integration platforms.

  • Collaborate with product managers, solution architects, QA, and DevOps teams to align technical execution with business priorities.

  • Define and uphold engineering standards and non-functional requirements, promoting clarity, performance, and security across delivery teams.

  • Guide DevSecOps strategies, enabling CI/CD automation, environment configuration, and monitoring using tools such as Dynatrace and Splunk.

ABOUT YOU

Your values:

    • Integrity: You believe in doing the right thing, even when it's uncomfortable, seemingly inefficient, or costly.
    • Purposefulness: You have a desire to serve others with your skillset and an openness to continuous learning and growth.
    • Ownership: You stick to your commitments, follow up with action, and seek clarity in communication & expectations.

Your Experience:

  • 10+ years of professional engineering experience building and supporting high-scale applications.

  • Deep knowledge of MDM/PIM systems, particularly STEP, and experience in building data pipelines and integration services.

  • Strong hands-on expertise with backend technologies including Java, C#, and .NET Core.

  • Experience designing event-driven and asynchronous services using tools like Kafka, BizTalk, and GCP Dataflow.

  • Background in database design and optimization, including SQL and NoSQL platforms.

  • Familiarity with cloud infrastructure and development in Google Cloud Platform.

  • Experience with API management tools and gateway platforms such as Apigee or DataPower.

  • Solid understanding of CI/CD, infrastructure-as-code, and automated testing practices.

  • Effective communicator with experience working in Agile environments and mentoring teams.

WE'D LOVE IT IF YOU HAVE:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline.

  • STEP PIM/MDM training or certification.

  • Experience supporting both greenfield solutions and legacy modernization efforts.

  • Domain exposure in retail, product data, or large-scale transactional systems.

  • Proficiency with Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Slides, Gmail).

WHAT WE OFFER:

  • Competitive compensation with opportunities for additional incentives. The annual salary range for this role is $150,000-200,000.
  • Work/life balance – we know there’s more to life than work! We encourage our team to pursue other passions, get outside, and spend time with family. We work with clients and consultants to set expectations for a manageable workload.

HOW TO APPLY:

Please fill out the form below (including uploading your most recent resume) and we'll be in touch! We know imposter syndrome can be a barrier to many great applicants. We hope you'll still consider applying. That's why we've made the application process as short and simple as possible.
