Housekeeping Supervisor
Location: This role is fully onsite at STILE Downtown Los Angeles
The Role
We are seeking an experienced Housekeeping Supervisor to join our California Portfolio team. As Housekeeping Supervisor, you will have end-to-end ownership over the on-the-ground operations for the STILE Downtown Los Angeles. In this role, As the Housekeeping Supervisor, you'll be responsible for inspecting and maintaining the cleanliness and physical condition of the hotel guest rooms, meeting rooms, hallways, and public areas. You'll maintain a positive and friendly attitude with all guests and other employees to act as the communicator and liaison between guests and room attendants, public area attendants, laundry attendants and house attendants. They should have a proven track record of delivering exceptional housekeeping services to ensure a safe and pristine environment, contributing to an outstanding guest experience.

A Day in the life of a Housekeeping Supervisor
Like many operations roles, there is no ‘typical day.' Your role will involve a wide range of activities tending to the hotel operation. As the Housekeeping Supervisor, your primary responsibility is to oversee the hotel's housekeeping operations. This involves coaching, leading, and managing the performance of the Housekeeping team. Working closely with Housekeeping Manager and the hotel leadership team, you will oversee or directly execute our cleaning operations. Your role includes maintaining relationships with colleagues, guests and relevant vendors (in person and virtually.)
Beyond the day-to-day operations, you will be the go-to person for training our housekeepers on Kasa cleaning standards. It's important to note that this role is not only about standards but also involves hands-on work. You are expected to engage in cleaning stayovers throughout the day and may have your own cleaning list.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise all daily operations of the housekeeping department, ensuring the cleanliness of guest rooms and public areas daily; own any relationships with local staffing agencies, vendors, or on-site partners.
- Implementation and enforcement of policies and procedures, and participation and facilitation of team meetings. Write process documents that standardize our housekeeping operations, as needed.
- Document cleaned areas by room attendants, promptly reporting any issues like room damage or maintenance requests to the front office.
- Inspect all guest check-out rooms for cleanliness, appropriate guest amenities, and the correct working condition of room equipment.
- Evaluate room attendants on their job performance according to the hotel standards. When necessary, take appropriate action (retraining, etc.) to ensure they are performing at a high quality level.
- Ensure that all cleaning equipment is in proper working condition and make arrangements for repairs as needed.
- Work closely with the Housekeeping Manager to help support our onsite standards including our personalized style guide.
- Complete routine quality assurance checks through our tech tools; complete the daily stayover, and when needed turnover cleans.
- Serve as a point of contact for the property to troubleshoot and problem-solve housekeeping, laundry, inventory, and other related issues.
- Ability and willingness to support your team in any way possible. This includes but not limited to restocking, delivering items, stripping rooms and cleaning rooms when necessary.
Experience
- 1 year of experience in customer service or similar role.
- Housekeeping supervisory or related job experience is preferred.
- Extensive knowledge of environmental services (EVS), including detailed cleaning processes and a wide range of cleaning supplies and equipment
- Excellent communication skills, high attention to detail, and a dedication to upholding guest experience and brand standards. You are someone who gets energy from interacting with others!
- You enjoy mobile technology!
- You're comfortable lifting objects up to 25-50 pounds and standing or walking for up to 8 hours a day.
Plus if...
- 2+ years of hotel experience in housekeeping supervisory role
- 3+ years of guest service experience in the hospitality industry
- Specialized experience working with boutique hotels or other startups to establish initial brand standards.
- Proven track record in hiring, supporting, and fostering a positive culture within onsite teams.
