About the Role 

We’re looking for a forward-thinking Manager of Content Strategy & SEO/AEO to lead our organic visibility across traditional search engines and emerging AI-driven discovery platforms. This role sits at the intersection of SEO, content strategy, and AI-first search. You’ll shape our search and answer ecosystem presence, optimizing for both traditional search engines and emerging generative and conversational platforms.  

This is a strategic role, ideal for someone who understands both the fundamentals of SEO and the rapidly evolving world of AEO/GEO. You’ll use data, structured content, and modern optimization frameworks to drive qualified traffic and high-intent leads from non-paid sources. 

You will lead strategy, create exceptional briefs, partner with writers, and guide development teams on structure, schema, and site architecture. 

What You’ll Lead 

Organic Growth & AI-Driven Discoverability 

  • Build and execute a unified strategy across SEO, AEO (Answer Engine Optimization), and GEO (Generative Engine Optimization). 

Strategic Content Planning 

  • Develop highly detailed, data-backed content briefs for writers and editors.
  • Define the topics that matter, the structure they need, and the schema that supports them.
  • Build robust editorial calendars tied to demand signals for each travel vertical. 

Optimization & Metadata Excellence 

  • Lead keyword, topic, and intent research with both SEO tools and AI.
  • Write strategic meta titles, meta descriptions, and structured data to improve rankings, CTR, and answer box visibility. 

Site Architecture & Internal Linking 

  • Partner with UX and development to optimize site structure, URL frameworks, navigation, and internal linking for topical authority. 

Data Analysis & Insights 

  • Own dashboarding and performance reporting using SEMrush, GA4, GSC, Looker Studio, and Amplitude.
  • Provide monthly “so what” insights that translate data into clear business outcomes. 

Cross-Functional Collaboration 

  • Work closely with content, development, UX, data, and creative teams.
  • Guide writers with briefs, support dev with schema and structure, and align priorities across the organization. 

What success looks like 

  • Growth in organic traffic (sessions and share of total visits)
  • Increase in qualified leads from non-paid channels
  • Improvement in organic CTR and keyword visibility across key categories
  • Authority and visibility in AI-driven search results (AEO/GEO impact)
  • Content production velocity and optimization quality (brief-to-live efficiency) 

Qualifications 

  • 7+ years of hands-on Content and SEO experience (AEO/GEO exposure preferred)
  • Bachelor’s degree in content, marketing, business, or a related discipline
  • Proven track record of growing organic traffic and lead generation
  • Experience using tools such as GA4, GSC, Ahrefs, SEMrush, Screaming Frog, ChatGPT/Perplexity, Amplitude, Adobe Analytics, or similar
  • Familiarity with schema markup, page experience signals, and content modeling.
  • Strong writing and editing skills, especially for metadata, briefs, and strategic content direction.
  • Comfortable presenting performance results and strategic recommendations to stakeholders.
