Parts Delivery/Warehouse Associate
Kimball Equipment Company, a leader in the aggregate mining and supply industry since 1946, is actively recruiting for the position of delivery driver and warehouse associate in our Portland location. Kimball Equipment Company is a successful dealer for brands such as Terex Cedarapids, Terex Finlay, and Superior Industries. We are growing quickly and are looking for someone motivated to grow with us!
Responsibilities:
- Loading/unloading trucks & trailers
- Pre/post trip inspections of company delivery vehicles
- Unloading shipping containers
- Delivering parts to customer job sites, including towing a trailer as needed
- Picking and packing parts
- Maintaining organization and cleanliness of shop, yard, and delivery vehicles
- Shipping and receiving parts and equipment
- Preparation of conveyor belt orders
- Safely operate forklifts of various sizes and capacities
- Communicate with customers at construction sites (verbal, CB, phone)
- Comply to construction site safety standards (MSHA, OSHA, customer rules & regulations)
- Safely operate overhead shop crane, belt winder, band saw, specialized tools
- Communicate safety and maintenance issues promptly to Manager
Qualifications:
- Knowledge of warehouse organization & function
- Ability to work as a team
- Ability to handle physical workload
- Ability to work in all weather conditions
- Willingness to learn on the job, attend internal & external training
- Operation of proper tools, including a forklift
- Ability to multitask and prioritize
- Experience in towing a trailer and securing load
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Picking & packing methods
- Current driver license
- Clean driving record
- Flexibility to adjust work schedule occasionally on an emergency basis to support customer breakdowns
Compensation:
- Full-benefits include (PTO, 401K, vision, dental, life, and health insurance).
- Compensation varies depending on experience (starting at $18 to $24 per hour).
