The VP of AI Innovation will drive AI transformation across the organization, turning artificial intelligence opportunities into measurable business results. The position involves identifying AI use cases, evaluating solutions, building prototypes, and defining the company's AI strategy while establishing and leading a cross-functional AI Center of Excellence. Beyond internal transformation, this role includes showcasing AI successes externally to strengthen brand reputation and market positioning. The ideal candidate will combine strategic vision with hands-on execution, moving quickly from insight to implementation while helping teams explore, adopt, and scale AI solutions responsibly and effectively across the business.

Responsibilities:

AI Strategy & Vision

  • Define, maintain and communicate the company’s internal AI strategy, roadmap, and success metrics
  • Align AI initiatives to corporate goals for growth, operational efficiency, and customer experience
  • Seize today’s AI opportunities and anticipate the path toward Artificial General Intelligence (AGI) and guide the company’s readiness in skills, architecture, and culture
  • Build and lead an internal AI COE to serve as the central catalyst for AI-driven change and oversee compliance, fairness, privacy, and ethical use of AI solutions

Transform, Deliver, and Measure

  • Lead an AI Strike Team of engineers and analysts to rapidly spin up agentic solutions to validate business fit, measure effectiveness, and scale or move to 3rd party native solutions
  • Partner with leaders across Sales, Marketing, Product, Engineering, Support, IT and operational support functions to identify and prioritize high-impact AI use cases
  • Implement and lead a disciplined and aggressive innovation and delivery model (conceptvalidationmeasurementscale)
  • Implement a build vs buy framework, continually assessing AI advancements in our core vendor offerings and make informed build/buy/partner recommendations
  • Manage strategic relationships with leading AI providers, including Google, Anthropic, AWS, and OpenAI
  • Partner with Engineering, Security, and Infrastructure to ensure scalable, compliant, and secure AI solutions
  • Define and track KPIs to measure success of AI and automation initiatives (e.g., time saved, cost reduction, accuracy gains, adoption rates, engagement, quality)
  • Maintain centralized dashboards and reporting to communicate outcomes to executive leadership

Organizational Change and Culture

  • Champion an AI-driven culture grounded in experimentation and learning
  • Develop and sponsor enterprise-wide AI fluency and enablement programs to upskill employees and leaders
  • Lead structured organizational change management efforts to shift mindsets, workflows, and behaviors
  • Provide genuine recommendations as to the hiring, firing, promotion, and discipline of subordinate employees to which the Company gives significant weight

 Minimum Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience in ML/AI, process automation, or digital transformations
  • Proven record of leading cross-functional transformations with measurable business impact
  • Strong understanding of AI technologies and automation capabilities (LLMs, APIs, data pipelines, workflow orchestrations, etc.)
  • Demonstrated ability to rapidly delivery enterprise-scale solutions and iteratively – from prototype to production in weeks, not months
  • Executive-level communication, facilitation, and change management skills
  • Familiarity with tools such as OpenAI, AWS Bedrock, LangChain, UiPath, Power BI, etc.
  • Experience analyzing, implementing and optimizing platform fit for purpose AI solutions in GTM solutions (e.g., Salesforce, Clay, Chorus, Salesloft) and support and operations platforms (e.g., Salesforce, ZenDesk, Outreach, NetSuite)
  • Experience setting up a Center of Excellence or internal enablement and governance function
