The Role

As the Creative Coordinator, you'll be working alongside the LA Creative team in a client-facing role, assisting with everything from scheduling meetings and managing calendars to coordinating events and scouting for emerging talents. Your role will be instrumental in supporting the creative team's vision and ensuring the smooth flow of operations in Kobalt’s fast-paced and dynamic environment.

What You’ll Do

  • Support members of the LA Creative Team at Kobalt by setting up writing sessions for LA-based clients as well as traveling international writers which includes managing schedules, reach-outs, follow ups, etc.
  • Overseeing internal calendars as well as calendars for select Kobalt clients
  • Overseeing song collection - collecting demos and helping ingest works and metadata into Kobalt's system
  • Updating and overseeing the distribution of the US Kobalt 'Looking List’
  • Overseeing the organization and updating of internal documents utilized by the LA Creative Team
  • Aiding with select administrative tasks on behalf of the LA creative team, including procurement tracking and verifying song registration
  • Aiding with DSP relationships, including songwriter initiatives with Spotify, TikTok, Apple, Meta, Amazon and YouTube
  • Aiding the team in their overall creative efforts
  • Participating in weekly creative meetings
  • Joining select client meetings with other members of the LA creative team

What You’ll Bring

Preferred:

  • 1-2 Years administrative experience in music publishing, label, management (internship experience OK)
  • A clear passion for popular music with a desire to work in music publishing 
  • Knowledge of LA songwriting and production community
  • Must be hyper organized, detail driven & a clear communicator with the ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced environment 

Additional Skills That Could Add Value:

  • Relationships across management, publishers and record companies in the US are a plus
