The LA28 organizing committee is an independent, non-profit organization that is privately funded and governed by a board of directors.

Logistics & Housing Integration Manager - Olympic Villages:

The Logistics & Housing Integration Manager (known internally as the Village Allotment Manager), will play a pivotal role in the planning, coordination, and execution of residential space allocation and related services for the Olympic and Paralympic Villages. Reporting to the Senior Director of Village Management, this role is responsible for managing the allotment of housing, administrative, and medical and other operational spaces to National Olympic Committees (NOCs), National Paralympic Committees (NPCs), and athletes. The Allotment Manager will serve as a key liaison between NOC/NPC Services, housing operations, and resident services to ensure the seamless integration of space allocation with overall service delivery. This position requires strong cross-functional collaboration, stakeholder engagement, and operational leadership to deliver a world-class Games-time environment.    

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the end-to-end housing allotment process for all NOCs/NPCs, ensuring fair, efficient, and transparent allocation of residential, office, medical, and storage spaces across the Olympic and Paralympic Villages, including Satellite Villages and Grooms’ Accommodation.
  • Collaborate with NOC/NPC Services, Accreditation, and Sport Entries teams to align allotment outcomes with delegation registration data and operational requirements.   
  • Develop and maintain the Allotment Master Plan, integrating Olympic and Paralympic Games requirements, accessibility needs, and cultural sensitivities.   
  • Coordinate with the Facilities team to plan and execute the Inventory & Inspection (I&I) process, ensuring a smooth handover and return of keys and spaces to/from NOCs and NPCs, supported by appropriate systems/tools and financial considerations.    
  • Coordinate with Resident Operations and Village Services teams to ensure resident center operations align with housing allotment plans and service expectations.   
  • Collaborate with housekeeping and linen service providers to align service delivery with resident needs and housing allocation timelines.  
  • Support the transition planning from Olympic to Paralympic Village operations, ensuring continuity and readiness of all resident services.   
  • Collaborate with the Facility Services Centre (FSC) and Logistics to ensure timely delivery, installation, and tracking of assets in resident spaces.   
  • Contribute to the development of policies and procedures related to housing, guest access, and resident services.   
  • Monitor and report on operational performance, identifying risks and implementing mitigation strategies to ensure service excellence.   
  • Support the recruitment, training, and leadership of a high-performing team of allotment and resident services staff and volunteers.    
      

Background & Qualifications:

  • Experience in a leadership role of housing logistics or event space management for large-scale events allocating spaces, fixtures, and furniture.
  • Proven experience in stakeholder engagement and cross-functional coordination.   
  • Experience managing contractors and service providers in a high-pressure, multicultural environment.   
  • Proficient using Microsoft Excel to track and analyze data and create allotment modeling.
  • Experience overseeing inventory management, inspection processes, and space handovers. 

Position Requirements:

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:

  • This role is based in our Los Angeles office and work is primarily conducted in an office environment with frequent site visits to village locations.   
  • Must be able to navigate large residential and operational zones, including during Games-time conditions.   
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.  

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Event Management, Hospitality, Logistics, or a related field.    

Expectations:

  • Strong organizational and project management skills with attention to detail.   
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.   
  • Ability to analyze complex data and make informed decisions under tight deadlines.   
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, formulas, data validation, and data analysis tools.   
  • Commitment to inclusivity, accessibility, and sustainability in operations.

The annual base salary range for this position is $85,000-$105,000. The pay scale provided is the range that LA28 reasonably expects to pay as starting base compensation for this role. All LA28 compensation remains subject to final determination based on individual candidate qualifications, experience, or other reasonable criteria consistent with LA28’s operational business needs and applicable law.
