Senior Results Technology Manager
The Senior Results Technology Manager, is responsible for overseeing the delivery of timing, scoring, and results technology services provided by key partners, including the Timing & Scoring provider and the Systems Integrator. This role ensures seamless execution of cross-functional deliverables and supports the Head of Results in planning and implementing critical activities for LA28.
This position reports to the Head of Results, within the Results Technology Services Functional Area.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the delivery of cross-functional requirements as outlined in the Timing and scoring and system integrator agreements.
- Lead transition planning activities across all phases of the Games.
- Support the Head of Results in requirements gathering, test event planning, user acceptance testing and testing of results applications, system and processes.
- Coordinate with the Strategic PMO team on organization-wide project management principles and best practices.
- Track, coordinate, plan, and report on results requirements, milestones and deliverables across multiple teams and departments
- Proactively identifying risks and drafting and executing mitigation plans.
- Coordinate with various Functional Aareas in LA 28 like Venue Technology, Telecoms, and Sport Teams to ensure readiness and compliance with sport rules and formats.
- Manage the delivery of all results related requirements including cabling, containment, power, audio, video and structures across all competition venues.
- Managing the delivery of video adjudication systems requirements for all sports.
- Maintain strong relationships with venue teams to ensure successful implementation of all venue requirements.
- Ensure accurate and timely delivery of course maps and course animations for applicable sports.
- Represent the Results Technology Services team in venue meetings, cross-functional meetings, and internal team discussions.
Background & Requirements:
- Project Management Experience of having worked in delivery of high-profile multi-sport events.
- Experience delivering technology in a fast-paced environment with multiple competing deadlines.
- Proven track record of fostering, building, and maintaining successful relationships with external and internal clients including high-profile stakeholders.
- Crisis management experience and ability to quickly, calmly and accurately address questions and concerns under high-pressure scenarios.
- Excitement for the role and opportunity to help shape the future of the Olympic and Paralympic Movement.
Expectations:
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Expertise in timing, scoring, and results systems is preferred.
- Ability to manage complex technical requirements under tight deadlines.
- Experience working with international sports federations and technology partners and suppliers.
- Familiarity with large-scale multi-sport event planning and operational readiness processes.
- Commitment to a team culture, fostering collaboration and respect.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree or above in technology, Sports Management, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 7+ in project management, technology integration, or major sports event operations.
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:
- Ability to work on-site in an open office environment based in Los Angeles, CA
- Travel to multiple venues for surveys and operational support.
- Flexibility for extended hours, shift work, and weekends during peak operational periods.
The annual base salary range for this position is $105,000.00 - $140,000.00. The pay scale provided is the range that LA28 reasonably expects to pay as starting base compensation for this role. All LA28 compensation remains subject to final determination based on individual candidate qualifications, experience, or other reasonable criteria consistent with LA28’s operational business needs and applicable law.
