The 2028 Games mark the return of the Summer Games to the U.S. for the first time in 32 years and Los Angeles’ third time hosting an Olympic Games and first time welcoming the Paralympic Games. Senior Associate, Games Prep & Delivery:

The Senior Associate, Games Prep & Delivery is a key contributor on the People Management team, with a core focus on supporting critical workstreams including but not limited to workforce operations, volunteer programming, workforce systems, workforce integration, Games Time training activities, uniforms, and global mobility work.  Reporting to the Sr. Vice President, HR for this vertical, this role will support the Games Prep & Delivery team while working closely with other functional areas across the organization, as well as other key internal and external community partners and other stakeholders, to successfully deliver the Games.   

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the implementation and operationalization of workforce entitlements and planning assumptions
  • Provide support with workforce transformation and mobilization models
  • Provide generalized support for Games time workforce planning and programs, including for contractor integration, services, and roll out of new technologies and programs
  • Assist with and support the content creation and organization of materials for workshops and other critical stakeholder meetings
  • Where requested, coordinate logistics for volunteer recruitment events, including scheduling, communications, and materials preparation
  • Support draft program documentation, such as FAQs, role descriptions, and onboarding guides
  • Track and analyze volunteer data to provide insights on recruitment, engagement, and retention trends
  • Serve as a point of contact for workforce inquiries, escalating complex questions as needed
  • Support the development and execution of volunteer recognition initiatives and events
  • Support delivery of Games Time onboarding programming, including but not limited to hosting onboarding in its entirety and managing the new joiner workflow, if needed
  • Coordinate logistics for training sessions, including scheduling, participant communications, and materials distribution
  • Support procurement efforts for securing a Learning Management System (LMS) that is fit for purpose for Games Time
  • Maintain and update the learning management system (LMS), including uploading course content, tracking attendance, and generating reports
  • Assist in designing learning content by conducting research, creating visual aids, and formatting presentations or manuals
  • Collect and organize feedback from training sessions to support program improvement efforts
  • Monitor and track employee learning progress and certifications, ensuring accurate record-keeping
  • Provide general administrative support for programs delivered by the Games Prep & Delivery team, including but not limited to organizing and scheduling key meetings, preparing reports and power point decks, acting as proxy for key meetings, and maintaining/managing project trackers
  • Collaborate on cross-functional projects with enterprise level impact or PEM specific needs
  • Assist in drafting and distributing internal communications related to People programs, including updates on the volunteer and learning programs
  • Conduct research and benchmarking to support new initiatives or process improvements
  • Participate in team meetings, providing updates on assigned projects and sharing insights on program progress.
  • Identify opportunities to embed training and development into the volunteer program, such as designing role-specific learning paths or onboarding modules
  • Collaborate with both the Volunteer Program and Training function (for both pre-Games time and Games Time) to align metrics tracking for volunteer training and organizational learning programs.
  • Contribute to the development of Games‑time workforce training programs by providing input and assisting with the creation of materials for labor partners and contractors
  • Assist in creating shared resources (e.g., templates, guides) that serve both volunteers and employees participating in learning programs.
  • Facilitate cross-team communication to ensure that lessons learned from volunteer training can inform broader learning strategies and vice versa.
  • Act as liaison between international visa candidates, outside counsel, HR Operations, and Games Prep & Delivery to ensure a smooth and seamless international candidate hiring process
  • Maintain, track, and manage visa updates / programmatic reporting requirements
  • Support meetings with Federal Government partners and gather / synthesize information and data relevant to their requests
  • Draft and manage written communications and stakeholder guides for navigating country entry programs before and during the Games, while also tracking program metrics with relevant internal and external stakeholders
  • Support the development of strategy and operational approach for uniform distribution and workforce accreditation management across the Games time footprint
  • Support the coordination of workforce needs for specific operational areas, such as transportation, while helping ensure safety and compliance requirements are met
  • Local travel may be required to support Games time deliverables

Background & Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree (or equivalent) required, Master’s degree preferred
  • Familiarity with sports and event planning
  • Prove ability to manage multiple stakeholders (clients) and build strong cross-functional relationships
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel and PowerPoint
  • Strong organizational and project management skills with attention to detail
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present information efficaciously
  • Minimum 4+ years related experience

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:

  • Available to work onsite in our Downtown Los Angeles-based office.
  • The majority of work will be conducted in an office setting, requiring extended periods of time using computers, phones, and other office equipment.
  • The LA28 office is an open floorplan working environment; employees must be able to work efficiently in an open cubicle environment.
  • Hours of work may vary, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, especially during peak event periods.
  • Perform other duties as required; the role will evolve over time and may include operational responsibilities during the Olympic and Paralympic Games.

 

The annual base salary range for this position is $73,000 - $95,000. The pay scale provided is the range that LA28 reasonably expects to pay as starting base compensation for this role. All LA28 compensation remains subject to final determination based on individual candidate qualifications, experience, or other reasonable criteria consistent with LA28’s operational business needs and applicable law.
