LastPass is looking for a Senior UX Researcher (Fixed-Term):
We are seeking an impact-driven Senior UX Researcher to uncover user behavior, needs, and workflows, identifying key opportunities for innovation. The ideal candidate will have expertise in qualitative methodologies such as contextual interviews, usability tests, and surveys, along with strong communication skills to translate research into actionable insights. Proactive collaboration, attention to detail, and the ability to integrate qualitative and quantitative data, while working closely with senior stakeholders, are essential. Join us in driving user-centered solutions with curiosity, empathy, and a passion for excellence.
If you are passionate about complex problem-solving and motivated by scale, then this is the role for you!
Who will you work with?
You will report to the Director of UX Research and be part of a dynamic team that includes five qualitative UX researchers and a quantitative researcher. Additionally, you will collaborate closely with product managers, product designers, content designers, engineers, and product marketers who are dedicated to specific projects within your domain of ownership.
What are some of the exciting challenges you will be working on?
- You will focus on identifying and understanding new cybersecurity-related problem areas for B2B customers to drive product innovation, running interviews and surveys in collaboration with product marketing, and working with input from the customer teams and senior stakeholders.
- You will work with product team partners to define new capabilities for B2B customers, define MVP concepts, and test and iteratively refine solution designs.
- You will help gather product feedback on new capabilities pre-launch (define and run product beta programs), evaluate new releases (help set up measurements for usage and success), and run post-launch feedback surveys and customer interviews.
What does it take to work at LastPass?
- You have excellent people-interaction skills and very strong verbal and written communication.
- You can conduct lean, outcome-driven studies to understand user behavior, needs, use cases, and workflows, and identify opportunities to maximize business impact, drawing on standard qualitative UX research methodologies (contextual interviews, usability tests, surveys, competitor reviews, diary studies).
- You can generate clear and impactful insights that support product and design decisions, supporting ongoing and upcoming product initiatives and informing the roadmap and strategy. You proactively communicate these insights to relevant stakeholders.
- You engage stakeholders to understand their goals, priorities, and plans and consolidate their input into a comprehensive research roadmap and set of test plans.
- You collaborate closely with product team peers through the entire product development and design lifecycle (discovery, ideation, concept testing, design validation, post-release evaluation). You can run workshops to translate user needs into product features and improvements.
- You partner with data analysts and product marketers to define key metrics and measurements along the customer journey.
It's great, but not required:
- Domain experience in cybersecurity (familiarity with industry trends, technologies, market dynamics, use cases, and user needs).
- Research experience in B2B settings (understanding customer needs and gathering feedback from admins, vendors, and managed service providers).
