LastPass is looking for a Senior Security Operations Engineer

As a Senior Security Operations Engineer within the Detection, Automation, Engineering & Response Team (DA3RT), you will take ownership of, investigate, and drive high-profile security cases to resolution. You will be a key team member and escalation point, responsible for mentoring associate analysts in day-to-day operations.

Who will you work with?

Security Operations Engineers regularly collaborate with various teams across the business, including Platform and Software Engineering, Security Engineers, and Detection Engineers.

What are some of the exciting challenges you will be working on?

• Serve as the key escalation point for associate analysts
• Develop, refine, and operationalize evaluation criteria for resolving security investigations
• Monitor all security investigations, conduct analysis, implement remedial actions, and assist with the deployment/configuration of protective measures for confirmed risks
• Collaborate with SecOps management to set, track, and adjust case priorities for the team as needed
• Ensure the resolution of all security cases and adhere to service-level agreements established by DA3RT leadership
• Create and maintain programmatic dashboards and visualizations to ensure traceability of operations and accurate metric reporting
• Contribute as a core member of the global incident response team during significant incidents and support post-incident reviews
• Participate in an off-hours on-call rotation

What does it take to work at LastPass?

• Experience in Security Operations
• Relevant experience in Security Operations as a Tier 2+ escalation point, validating work from junior analysts and driving remedial actions (both procedural and technical)
• Intermediate knowledge of security-related technologies, including but not limited to cloud service providers (AWS preferred), network filtering/proxies, EDR(s), and privileged access management solutions
• Proficiency in network/traffic analysis, endpoint analysis, CSP investigations, and big data processing
• Expert-level understanding of incident reporting and the ability to translate technical analysis into clear, actionable summaries and recommendations
• Strong ability to multitask, prioritize, and take initiative
• Proven mentorship and leadership skills
