Position Overview:
We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Social Media Videographer to join our team and bring our brand to life through compelling video content. This role will be responsible for planning, shooting, and editing short-form videos tailored for platforms like Instagram, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, Facebook, and LinkedIn. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of social trends, storytelling, and how to create scroll-stopping content that engages and grows audiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Conceptualize, shoot, and edit high-quality video content optimized for social media platforms.
- Collaborate with the marketing and content teams to develop video strategies aligned with campaign goals.
- Stay up to date with current trends, audio, and viral formats across platforms to ensure relevance.
- Edit footage using tools like Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, CapCut, or similar.
- Organize and maintain an efficient post-production workflow for fast turnarounds.
- Manage video shoots, including lighting, audio, location, and camera setup.
- Maintain an organized library of raw and edited footage.
- Occasionally appear on camera or direct talent, influencers, or team members.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a videographer and video editor with a portfolio of social-first content.
- Proficient in video editing software and mobile editing apps.
- Knowledge of social media platforms, specs, and best practices (especially TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts).
- Strong storytelling, visual composition, and creative direction skills.
- Ability to work independently and under tight deadlines.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, content-driven environment.
- (Bonus) Photography, motion graphics, or animation experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in video production, preferably for a brand, agency, or media company.
- Degree in Film, Media, Communications, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Experience with DSLR/mirrorless cameras and studio lighting setups.
