Role Overview

The Senior Platform Engineer is responsible for developing and maintaining internal developer platforms to streamline infrastructure management. The role requires deep expertise in Azure (particularly Azure Gov), Kubernetes, and automation tools to ensure scalable and efficient cloud environments.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain internal tools and frameworks for cloud infrastructure management.
  • Optimize developer workflows and implement infrastructure-as-code practices.
  • Standardize cloud deployments to enhance consistency, security, and performance.
  • Deploy and manage Kubernetes clusters (AKS), ensuring high availability.
  • Implement monitoring solutions using Grafana, Prometheus, and Azure Monitoring.
  • Manage networking components including application gateways, firewalls, and load balancers.
  • Collaborate with security teams to ensure cloud compliance and best practices.
  • Engage with third parties and stakeholders to present cloud initiatives.

 

Key Skills & Experience

  • +5 years of experience in similar roles
  • Deep expertise in Azure, particularly Azure Gov.
  • Strong knowledge of Kubernetes (AKS), Docker, and Helm.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins or similar tools.
  • Proficiency in observability tools (Grafana, Prometheus, Elasticsearch).
  • Strong networking knowledge including application gateways, firewalls, and load balancing.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a dynamic environment.
  • Proactive mindset with strong communication skills.
