Role Overview

As the Senior Platform Engineer, you will play a critical role in designing, building, and optimizing cloud-based infrastructure to support scalable, secure, and high-performance cloud products. You will lead platform engineering initiatives across Operations, Infrastructure, DevOps, and Security, ensuring best practices in cloud adoption, automation, and deployment. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, you will drive the DevSecOps culture from initial design through production, improving development workflows and cloud efficiency.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Architect and implement cloud infrastructure solutions that align with business and technical requirements.
  • Lead and execute cloud engineering projects, ensuring appropriate technical specifications, realistic timelines, and efficient resource allocation.
  • Identify potential challenges in projects, teams, and processes, proactively implementing solutions to prevent delays.
  • Work closely with Software Engineering and Product teams to understand priorities and infrastructure needs.
  • Design and refine operational processes to improve platform stability, scalability, and performance.
  • Enhance product deployment automation and monitoring capabilities, driving continuous improvements in DevSecOps practices.
  • Research and integrate new tools and technologies to enhance infrastructure efficiency and security.
  • Manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, evolving environment, ensuring platform reliability and availability.

 

Key Skills & Experience

  • +5 years of experience in cloud engineering, with strong expertise in Azure and a proven leadership track record.
  • Proficiency in Kubernetes, Docker, Jenkins, Terraform, Ansible, and PowerShell, with hands-on experience designing and deploying cloud solutions.
  • Strong understanding of relational databases (MSSQL, MySQL, PostgreSQL) and non-relational databases (MongoDB).
  • Experience with continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD) pipelines, ensuring efficient and secure software releases.
  • Familiarity with Scrum methodologies and strong project management skills to drive short- and long-term team goals.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, initiative, and ability to work independently while leading and mentoring a team.
