Legend Biotech is seeking Director of HR Operations and Compliance as part of the Human Resources team based in Somerset, NJ.
Role Overview
The Director of HR Operations and Compliance is a pivotal role responsible for transforming our HR operations function, overseeing, and optimizing the day-to-day operations of the HR Department. This role will play a critical part in enhancing the overall employee experience and contributing to the organization's success by transforming the HR operating model, implementing efficient HR processes, and providing exceptional service to employees and HR partners.
This position requires a detail-oriented and process-driven individual with a strong understanding of HR operations, compliance, and a commitment to upholding HR best practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the HR Operation function:
- Lead payroll, HR operations, and Corporate Admin functions. Collaborate with other HR COE functions, including Total Rewards, HRIS, Talent Management, and Organizational Development teams, to deliver a seamless employee experience throughout their life cycles with high accuracy and efficiency.
- Evaluate the current HR operating model and work with senior management to modernize the HR service delivery operating model, ensuring it is simple, efficient, and scalable.
- Partner closely with HR Business Partners and other HR functions to identify areas for process improvements and implement strategic initiatives, including but not limited to a culture of innovation, wellbeing, and DE&I.
- Responsible for internal HR communication with employees and managers on HR topics and priorities.
- Responsible for all aspects of HR compliance:
- Establish and maintain company policies and procedures to ensure they are compliant with legal standards.
- Provide training and education to HR staff and employees on HR compliance-related topics
- Conduct regular audits and investigations of complaints or allegations of non-compliance, including documentation and recommendation of corrective actions.
- Maintain documentation of compliance activities to support external audits.
- Manage all HR systems and data: Oversee HR data reporting and dashboards for management use. Analyze HR data and metrics to provide insights and support decision-making. Prepare reports that provide information needed by all departments.
- Manage and develop a diverse group of talents within the HR team.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree
- A minimum of 10 years of related HR Operations, program delivery experience, or HR compliance
- Expert knowledge in HR service delivery, HR policies, and effective processes
- Must have demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality related to sensitive company and employee information
- Outstanding written and oral communication and presentation skills; ability to effectively communicate with employees and management on all levels
- Proactive and self-motivated, collaborative with a strong focus on quality and efficiency
- Excellent coordination and time management skills
- Proficient in Excel
