The Opportunity

We are hiring a Materials Specialist (First Shift) on the Radar Supply Chain Management team. In this role you will be responsible for overseeing all activities related to receiving, storing, monitoring and tracking the movement of LeoLabs parts, equipment & supplies. The ideal candidate will ensure accurate inventory records, timely replenishment of materials, and compliance with company policies.

In support of the Radar Hardware and Supply Chain Teams, your contribution will directly help mature our manufacturing efforts as we ramp up our radar deployment schedule.

With locations around the world, you will maintain accurate reporting, perform cycle counts and reconciliation, process inbound/outbound shipments, and provide support to our Logistics team. This role will be fundamental to our ERP (NetSuite) implementation and maintenance of all transactions. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a fast-paced environment and be comfortable with competing priorities.

This role requires keen attention to detail, ability to work independently and implementation of new processes. You will join the Radar Deployments Group and report to the Associate Director of Supply Chain Management.

This is an on-site role at our Headquarters in Menlo Park, CA, 5 days a week.

 

Responsibilities

  • Execute receiving, storing, picking, kitting, packing, and shipping activities in support of manufacturing, R&D, and deployment operations
  • Process and validate all inventory transactions within ERP system to ensure real-time accuracy and data integrity
  • Control and reconcile material movement between warehouse and hardware assembly areas to maintain full traceability
  • Prepare and stage material kits in alignment with engineering builds and production schedules
  • Monitor inventory levels and collaborate with Supply Chain Management (SCM) to proactively address shortages, excess, or allocation risks
  • Perform cycle counts and variance analysis; investigate discrepancies and implement corrective actions as needed
  • Coordinate domestic and international shipments, ensuring compliance with documentation, export controls, and internal procedures
  • Inspect, evaluate, and reconcile returned materials against system records and deployment documentation
  • Support material readiness for production by ensuring timely receipt, accurate system entry, and proper storage of goods
  • Identify and recommend process improvements to enhance material flow efficiency, inventory accuracy, and operational scalability

 

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in inventory control, materials management, or warehouse operations within a manufacturing or supply chain environment
  • Demonstrated experience processing and reconciling inventory transactions in ERP/MRP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) with basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Experience investigating and resolving inventory discrepancies, including cycle count variance analysis
  • Ability to lift to 65lbs and safely palletize goods for outbound shipment
  • Forklift certification (or ability to obtain certification)
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced operational environment
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills with the ability to partner cross-functionally
  • Commitment to maintaining a clean, organized, and safety-compliant workspace

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or related field
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, lookup functions, etc.)
  • Working knowledge of inventory controls, traceability practices, or serialized/lot-controlled inventory

 

Within 1 month, you’ll:

  • Complete onboarding and gain a working understanding of warehouse operations, ERP workflows, and internal inventory control procedures
  • Learn material flow processes between receiving, warehouse, hardware assembly, and deployment teams
  • Process inventory transactions under guidance to ensure accuracy and traceability

 

Within 3 months, you’ll:

  • Independently execute receiving, inventory transactions, kitting, and shipping activities with a high degree of accuracy
  • Maintain organized physical inventory locations supporting both R&D and Production material
  • Identify opportunities to improve material flow efficiency and transaction accuracy

 

Within 6 months, you’ll:

  • Take ownership of inventory discrepancy investigations and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence
  • Monitor inventory levels and proactively communicate material risks impacting production or engineering schedules

Contribute to process improvements that strengthen traceability, controls, and operational scalability

 

Within 12 months, you’ll:

  • Drive measurable improvements in inventory accuracy, cycle count performance, and material flow efficiency
  • Maintain audit-ready inventory controls and support compliance requirements as needed
  • Provide reliable material readiness and inventory expertise to support Engineering, Production, and Deployment teams
