Our Product Engineering team is seeking a Software/Networking Engineer who has some software expertise to support and troubleshoot customers who have technical or software connectivity issues with their LG Display products. This individual will build, design, and maintain web applications, and software applications as well as manage networking issues. This individual creates solutions for identified problems or bugs. Will execute assignments with the use of web applications, scripts, and programming languages such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and APIs.  This role supports our Business Solutions Division.

The Opportunity:

Our Product Engineering team is seeking a Software/Networking Engineer.  This individual will build, design, and maintain web applications, and software applications and troubleshoot Networking related issues with our Display Systems.  This individual creates solutions for identified problems or bugs. Will execute assignments with the use of web applications, scripts, and programming languages such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and APIs.

Develops and validates test routines to ensure the quality of the external and internal interface.

  • Designs assignments with web services like REST, SOAP, etc.
  • Managing the complete software development process from conception to deployment.
  • Maintaining and upgrading the software following deployment.
  • Contribute to new product ideas and make internal presentations.
  • Designing and executing tests based on requirements, risk and defects found.
  • Complete detailed reports listing requests for technical assistance, steps taken to resolve them, and the specific dates/individuals involved.
  • Conduct field investigations, identify root cause or supporting organization with required data leading to resolution.
  • Actively update, maintain and monitor open issues.
  • Analyze and clarify the queries by conducting research and troubleshooting the issues.
  • Respond to customer inquiries (phone or email) and assist in troubleshooting and resolving challenges.
  • Documents and conveys Voice of Customer (VOC) for technical issues, such as requirements for field issue solution, to appropriate internal teams.
  • Improve current test protocol and automation test tool
  • Improve IP network testing and test environment for both WIRED and WIFI
  • Coordinating with clients and other stakeholders to understand product requirements
  • Developing and executing test plans for new and existing applications 
  • Executes assignments with the use of web applications, scripts, and programming languages such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and APIs.

Qualifications:

  • A bachelor’s degree in computer science (or a related field).
  • Knowledge of network protocols, including TCP/IP, DNS, and DHCP.
  • Experience with network hardware (routers, switches, and firewalls and network monitoring and management tools.
  • LAN and WAN experience.
  • Extensive knowledge of web applications, programming languages, and web services —
  • including API, CSS, CSS3, cross-browser compatibility, HTML, HTML5, JavaScript, jQuery,
  • PHP, security principles, REST, SOAP, and web user interface design.
  • Experience with Windows and Linux environments along with In-depth knowledge of network protocols and technologies and proficiency in network hardware and software configuration.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Time management and organizational skills.
  • Adaptability and willingness to learn new technologies.
  • Dependable and flexible when necessary.
  • A self-starter able to work independently but comfortable working in a team environment.
  • Preferred: CISCO certification, Networking Engineering Certification,

 

 

 

Recruiting Range

$74,000 - $110,000 USD
